Is there a end game objective in SWGoH?

The true end game may never take place as the devs have failed to address balance issues and built very tall, thick walls which limit our ability to experience everything the game has to offer. The vast majority of players have a very small roster, typically consisting of the top tier meta characters because hey, who's silly enough to think that staple characters such as Boba Fett, Kit Fisto and Darth Maul could possibly be more powerful than a generic, unnamed character like a Geonosian Soldier, Hoth Rebel Scout or a Resistance Pilot?

Anyway, the lack of balance, diversity and the means of acquiring a variety of characters with unique abilities is severely limited. To me, THAT'S the biggest flaw in the game and my faith in the developers ability to address that is diminishing.
