He keeps getting the dark infusion buff, even if I kill the jedi. Is that normal?
- Yeah he still gets the buffs, just doesn't get the benefit of using the Jedi to heal.

That isn't true. If you kill the Jedi and not Malak then he doesn't get any buffs. What likely happened is that you used an aoe that put Malak at 50% when you "killed" the jedi.
As you can see in the screenshot the OP showed, 3 jedi are dead but Malak only has the Tenacity buff and 1 stack of Dark infusion so I am not sure what the sceenshot is supposed to prove.- It was just to show what was going on. I'm just struggling with it, trying to get him.

Except you said he was always getting Dark infusion when you killed a jedi but clearly there are 3 dead jedi but only 1 dark infusion buff so that doesn't match.
