Is Zavage's Zeta useless?

Am i right that if he takes shock from a sith ally he wont get any buffs when hes hit? Would make him pretty useless agains Palp/ Dooku Squads. Will shock also prevent him from losing all debuffs on ...

If you think about it if sith assassin does direct health damage and gets them below 50% health still with protection surely savage can one shot
