It may be time to move on...
I pulled up my game to play today and saw my total playtime for the last 10 years of 1347 hours. I have seen this game change so much over the years. I was excited about this new update but it just seems to be more like a cash grab than it ever was with the game before. Now it gives you events to play using these heroes that are locked behind progression which of course to make any progress you need to spend money to get to the level to enjoy the content. I have made one purchase in this game which was a half-price light speed bundle many years ago. Other than that I am F2P. This game has become so disappointing recently. I still loathe the Datacrons which scream pay to win since they of course can only be used in PVP content.
The last straw may have been today when I full cleared someone in GAC and still lost by 10 points. They were loaded with datacrons but had 4 mil GP less than myself. It seems years of dedication to a game mean nothing as long as you are willing to shell out the money to win. I have neither the time or money to invest in making 20 datacrons.
This game used to be fun. Now it just feels like a chore, and losing to others that pay for an advantage is not enjoyable. I'm sure CG could care less about this rant, but after spending 56 total days of my life (accumulated playtime) and $50 on a game I felt the need to vent a little. I hope this community continues to enjoy the game but I am thinking of ending this era of gaming for myself.
