Most of the people bashing the new films forget just how bad some parts of the originals are. (yes, I'm referring to 4,5,6. Especially 4). No SW movie is flawless. Rogue One and Solo are both easily in the top half of SW movies and Ep7 and Ep8 are both about middle-to-low end of the pack.
Don't get me wrong, there are awful moments in any movie, and can't really be helped due to the diversity of the audience. I didn't think the FA had a plot, but felt more like a rehashing of ANH. TLJ was better, but because it was a continuation, it fell flat, IMHO.
