Yes new device. But I can't change my name. Or maybe I just don't know how.
You can change your name.
on the main game screen you will see your level and a bar displayed in the upper left. You can click on it. Do so. Next to your name there is a little pen icon. Clicking on that will let you change your name. The first name change, at least, is free.
