K2SO

K2 isnt that bad... I usually run him with rebels in raids, thanks to wedge leader and counteratacks he has infinite HP and permataunt...

But ok, its his single use in my poor f2p account xD sth or scarif rebel would do the same job, or even better, and they are much easy farms

on the right team - he's a monster. That right team is Jyn lead (zeta), Cass (zeta), Chirrut, Baze, and K2. He becomes an infinite health monster and provides an extra punch via Cass. A guildmate of mine has great success with this set up.

He really needs R1 squad. I was very dubious on investing in him, but @scuba convinced me, and frankly, he's a workhorse.

With Cas Maul is not a problem as K2 and Baze will both start with Ten up, he covers for everone while Cas starts doling out debuffs and buff immunity.

Without that early Ten Up though (and the bonus attacks for and with Cas) I can't see him doing much. Doesn't seem like a good fit for droid team.

K2S0 is just all around good on a R1 squad. Personally I think he and Chirrut are a better combo than Baze and Chirrut, Chirrut's auto hots give him 100% taunt rate. SInce they come on damage it can only be prevented by buff immunity. Baze you can get to drop his taunt once in a while, not so with K2S0 if Chirrut is in the picture (as long as K2S0's counter is maxed and his mods/the group composition give him the tenacity he needs).

That being said there are a few other comps he really shines in as well.
Under a Luke lead he is quite effective as is due to all the tenacity luke gives.

Any group pairing him with Cassian is great.

Yoda and Rex can be good with their tenacity up buffs.

Pretty much every other comp besides the first two you have to stack mad tenacity on him for him really to be effective. You can reach pretty high levels of tenacity without too much trouble. My K2S0 never gets debuffed. Maul's daze Aoe? Spurt spurt, Doesn't daze my K2S0.

Put him in a comp with a chewie lead, zbarriss, chirrut, and Fives. His taunt will never drop off, He'll heal like mad, and almost never get debuffed. If he does it will be dispelled licketysplit. This group should be stupid tough to beat. Thanks to chewie lead he gets 49% defense when defense'd up. He himself will offense down all the enemy team. Two cleanses in chirrut and barriss. Two auto heals from them too. Two healing equalizations. 3 counter attackers in case people AoE. I want to call them the perfect defensive team.

Put him in a droid team under an hk lead and he gets two attacks for every one enemy attack. (one counter and one regular), and protects all those glass cannons. He actually is a good mesh with lobot too because the dispel could help him immensely.

Put him under a wedge lead and he does quite well as well.

Considering everywhere is crawling with Zaul teams lately, unless you want to use him solely on Raids for some reason, I would say not worth it currently.

It's the opposite. K2SO, when paired with Cassian, is currently my toughest opponent running a Maul lead. This is because he starts the encounter with offense up, and will resist the initial Daze/Stun/etc. It forces me to use B2 (who won't help me until round 2 unless someone evades), so I have to sacrifice elsewhere. I can certainly beat them, but I actually have to plan and be careful in those matches, where most of the others I can just auto.

I fully believe the K2SO and Cassian combo is the most underrated combo in the game. I hate playing them. I wish I had them.

I've been running Cassian and K2 in Arena for a few weeks now, but not with a full R1 squad (I wish). As mentioned, K2 starts with Tenacity up for 3 turns, and so resists all those Daze and shock effects that could counter him. But it doesn't completely stop them. I've had K2 get stunned with all his buffs; that really puts a damper on my day.
He almost always has taunt up, and with nearly 100% counter he happily runs around applying Offense Down to anybody that hits him. He does not start with taunt, but odds are that somebody will AOE and he will counter then taunt, which makes him an effective mitigation tool against Palpatine. Palps just stunned your whole crew? K2 to the rescue. He will keep them occupied while your team recovers.
Any opposing debuffer will significantly drop his effectiveness. B2, FOST, Sun Fac, QGJ, Teebo, Ventress, etc. he will still counter, but debuffs cut that in half.
His damage is not great, but he applies Daze with his special which can be great against zBarriss or zDooku or JKA or even RG when he is around. If you special TFP with foresight up, K2's attack will miss but dispel the foresight and Cassian will assist and probably land the buff block to stop TFP from getting foresight again. Now you can take him out with your own DPS.

Without Cassian giving him all those starting buffs, I don't think K2 would work well in most squads. Cassian's debuff bomb is a kick, though. Spread that stuff around and then land them all on a single target, really shuts them down.

I think you are having a terminology problem here.

Buff = positive status effect
Debuff= Negative status effect
Buff wipe = Dispel positive status effect
Cleanse = Dispel Negative status effect

Buff wipes don't cut his counter chance, and neither does tm removal, only debuffs (little red boxes on his head), so Teebo and QGJ shouldn't be on that list for sure.

The list should be more like: Vader, Boba Fett, HK-47, Cassian Andor, etc.

Other than that I found your description quite accurate and enjoyable.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. When I said:

What I meant was:

Any opposing debuffer enemy that can clear K2's buffs will significantly drop his effectiveness; for example, B2, FOST, Sun Fac, QGJ, Teebo, Ventress, etc. He will still counter without the buffs, but he then becomes susceptible to debuffs that will cut that his counter chance in half.

This makes Teebo and QGJ a problem because they can remove his buffs, making him vulnerable to debuff. I suppose technically you are correct (the best kind of correct!) because Boba can indeed remove his buffs, but Vader, HK, and Cassian definitely do not do that.

Ah! I see what you are saying now. Yes losing that tenacity buff will certainly hurt him a lot and leave him vulnerable to a host of characters.
