I thought it was a really solid start. I agree, Leia was cast really well. I really liked Reva as well, she seems interesting and I hope we get more of her backstory. Maybe one of the younglings from the beginning? Kind of confused about the Grand Inquisitor though... he can’t be dead, since he’s in Rebels, but that lightsaber stab looked pretty fatal. Daiyu was a decent planet, it reminded me of Nar Shadaa. Overall I really liked it, can’t wait for Kenobi to use his lightsaber. Also, who was he referring to when he was talking to Leia, Padme or Satine? I think probably Padme, but either one would fit the description
100% Reva is probably the first Youngling we see at the beginning. Only explanation for her knowing that Anakin is Vader is her seeing Anakin slaughtering everyone. She survives / escapes and is filled with resentment towards Obi Wan for allowing his Padawan to fall and destroy everything.
Yeah when she mentioned anakin living I was like tf - no one's suppose to know that. Good point; makes sense - NotRealUltra4 years agoLegend

Same thoughts
and he was talking about Padme, for sure"Iy4oy4s;c-2363110" wrote:
It’s was 50/50 for me. The Leia chase scenes were horrible. Wasn’t impressed with Reva’s acting. Also, all the hype about the GI only to kill him off in the first episode? He got the Snoke treatment.
What GI hype? I didn't think the show hyped him up too much, he was their boss, and he got ambushed which was fine imo
Reva's acting was pretty good and solid imo
Leia chase was kinda comical but i don't think it ruined the episode or anything, the chase scene could've been a whole lot shorter
Snoke was being built up over years though, GI was shown in the first ep and the second ep was right after instead of a week long break so i didn't feel any hype for GI - kard864 years agoSeasoned AdventurerI thought it was superb. I thought the defeated tone and the knackered acceptance was spot on. Even down to hurting his hand because he hasn’t thumped anyone for 10 years. My only issue was the kid playing leia seems to be about 5 not 10.

I hate it.
The whole show is just way too childish. The bad guys are dumb, the good guys are dumb, everybody is clumsy, and we all know they all survive so there's never any real danger for anyone.
The characters are so childish, they basically have no personality. Maybe they get 1 thing and thats it. They even change that too.
Black inqui - blm/feminist, the only one in the show that is 'smart' (has a plan)
Grand inqui - chases jedis calmly
Kenobi - lets a young jedi die. Then next day decides to save a young jedi. While travelling, he has his lightsaber visible on his belt...
Leia - rebel. That's all her personality.
Childish nonsense.
I was hoping for some OT style grittiness.
Real characters with complex personalities.
Any sort of danger feel.

Don't cut yourself on that edge, lord.- Funny how people didn’t like old man grumpy Luke who made mistakes, but old man grumpy Kenobi who made mistakes is just fine.

Hes Here to save us from all the "wOkeNesS" no doubt - kard864 years agoSeasoned AdventurerI like grumpy luke. But I just like grumpy I think
- About the GI I had the thought that maybe he isn't the one from Rebels, which would explain the different appearance and how he could be alive in Rebels but seems to be dead already in Kenobi. Maybe when one dies, another one takes his place.

So you got a problem with black people and women huh? Pretty pathetic.
Regardless, I thought the show was excellent. I love how they showed how Leia was always feisty and independent. Reva was a bonus I wasn't expecting. She will definitely be a fan favorite. And Kenobi is all that I expected from him except for him having the defeatist attitude. But I did like how they have shown him to have remorse and PTSD from thinking he killed his best friend and brother. It made him more human and realistic. I can't wait for more episodes.- Sarahw454 years agoNew Scoutso is CG going to cancel the GI now?? :D
