I hate it.
The whole show is just way too childish. The bad guys are dumb, the good guys are dumb, everybody is clumsy, and we all know they all survive so there's never any real danger for anyone.
The characters are so childish, they basically have no personality. Maybe they get 1 thing and thats it. They even change that too.
Black inqui - blm/feminist, the only one in the show that is 'smart' (has a plan)
Grand inqui - chases jedis calmly
Kenobi - lets a young jedi die. Then next day decides to save a young jedi. While travelling, he has his lightsaber visible on his belt...
Leia - rebel. That's all her personality.
Childish nonsense.
I was hoping for some OT style grittiness.
Real characters with complex personalities.
Any sort of danger feel.

Yeah, give us back the ANH real characters with complex personalities: the Bad boy with a heart of gold, the Gentle giant, the Brave princess, the Cryptic sensei and the Farmer on a Hero’s journey. "Iy4oy4s;c-2363110" wrote:
It’s was 50/50 for me. The Leia chase scenes were horrible. Wasn’t impressed with Reva’s acting. Also, all the hype about the GI only to kill him off in the first episode? He got the Snoke treatment.
There really wasn't a lot of hype about the GI though. Sure we knew he was going to be in the show and there was an interview or two with Rupert Friend talking about him, but from the marketing and promotion it was clear that Reva was going to be the main Inquisitor villain. If people were getting hyped about the GI and thinking he was going to have a massive role I think that's their own issue.
Agree on the Leia chase scene, it wasn't done well at all. Seeing how the chase scenes in BoBF were also janky I have to wonder if it's just constraints with the Volume. It doesn't seem conducive to long chase scenes- HKFactory4 years agoNew ScoutRandom thought I had about Reva’s obsession with capturing Obi-Wan. The Grand Inquisitor mentioned she was “found in the gutters” or something like that, so you think she looks up to Vader? Seeing as she somehow knows he was Anakin, and because of Anakin’s power despite his childhood beginnings, she thinks perhaps she can become powerful like that, and wants to impress him because maybe she looks at Vader as an inspiration, or idol? What better way to impress her possible idol than capturing the man he probably hates more than anyone else? She also seems very reckless and impulsive, as mentioned by her fellow (or formerly fellow?) inquisitors just like how Anakin was.

I think she hates Kenobi because he failed to kill Anakin, but whatever her thirst for revenge is, I think the show will uncover her backstory - So is the gi in rebels a clone then? Is this supposed to set up cloning for sith eternal emperor?
- LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned AceI dont like how she knows Anakin is Lord Vader. Could have been a better scene when Ben finds out Anakin is still alive, I like how they did it in the comics. Find it strange that it has been ten years of Lord Vader hunting down Jedi and Ben never heard.

100% Reva is probably the first Youngling we see at the beginning. Only explanation for her knowing that Anakin is Vader is her seeing Anakin slaughtering everyone. She survives / escapes and is filled with resentment towards Obi Wan for allowing his Padawan to fall and destroy everything.
How would she know Anakin is Vader? He announce himself when he entered the Temple? Very few people knew Anakin was Vader so for her to know is not sitting to well with me. - I think he was referring to Satine when he was talking to Leia.
- HolySithblade4 years agoNew HotshotInteresting episodes, loved the opening scene at the Jedi Temple. Always gives me chills reliving Order 66 from different perspectives.
I like that they are exploring Organa history and also connecting the dots on how Leia knows Ben. I didnt watch rebels so I dunno if that was explained there or not.
Im pretty hyped for this show and hope the new inquisitor(s) will somehow, for the sake of my sanity, bring up the Inqs in the game.
The Reva parkour scene was meh, they need to stop wearing cloaks with all the running and stuff they do. Otherwise her character seems interesting, ruthless and hellbound on getting to Kenobi. Maul 2.0 vibes. Love it. - DrStewartH4 years agoRising VanguardI was expecting another Finn type character that’s conflicted about her tasks and unsure about her role but that’s not Reva at all. She’s merciless, violent and dangerous and makes for a great character so far. Please, please, please stay in that vein and don’t make her somehow good in the end. Let her be violent and wild the whole way and force kenobi to get his hands dirty by stopping her.
