You have to bear in mind the money available for a production like this. This is only a TV series, it’s not going to have a cinematic run with people spending loads of money on repeat viewings and generating $1bn +.
I think I read somewhere that the budget for each episode of Obi Wan is somewhere in the region of $25m. Which is massive I grant you. But to put that into some kind of context, the budget for Mando (which has a kind of ‘sparse’ feel to it) is about $15m, and the budget for Rise of Skywalker was $275m. Not to mention the many months and hundreds of people involved in post production on any of the films. Obi Wan is being produced with nothing like that amount of resource, so it’s bound to look not quite the same. But I think they’ve done an amazing job.
