And I much prefer a slow growth instead of a Mary Sue super fighter from one day to the other. Like I said in my comment before, this is more realistic.
3 episodes covering a few days is slow growth? :| "Sithlords_Inc;c-2363936" wrote:
Was it just me or did the Vader vs Kenobi fight look... of? Im not sure if it was the lighting but it kind of reminded me of a fan film.
You have to bear in mind the money available for a production like this. This is only a TV series, it’s not going to have a cinematic run with people spending loads of money on repeat viewings and generating $1bn +.
I think I read somewhere that the budget for each episode of Obi Wan is somewhere in the region of $25m. Which is massive I grant you. But to put that into some kind of context, the budget for Mando (which has a kind of ‘sparse’ feel to it) is about $15m, and the budget for Rise of Skywalker was $275m. Not to mention the many months and hundreds of people involved in post production on any of the films. Obi Wan is being produced with nothing like that amount of resource, so it’s bound to look not quite the same. But I think they’ve done an amazing job.- The only thing I want to know is: can we have a new Zeta level special ability added to Darth Vader please, along the lines of: Vader force drags Target Character across the ground and into a lake of fire, causing special damage. Inflict Burning for two turns, 3 turns if the character is any version of Obi Wan. Call it ‘I am what you made me’.
Just a suggestion. Please. - TwstdByDsn4 years agoSeasoned Ace

To those wondering....
Obi Wan is 25 in Phantom Menace.
Attack of the Clones is 10 years after (aka 35)... while anakin is 19.
Revenge of the Sith is 3 years later. Kenobi is 38 and Skywalker is 22.
Kenobi show is 10 years later, known because Leia says her age and shes born in Revenge of the Sith.
That makes Kenobi 48 and Vader 32.
Which lines up with Obi Wan being 57 when Vader kills him (Vader is 41)... and Luke and Leia are 19 in a New Hope.
Vader is 44 in Empire (3 years after New Hope)
And hes 45 in Return of the Jedi (4 years after New Hope) (Luke and Leia are 23)
I honestly wasn't wondering, but now that you spelled it all out, I'm SUPER glad you did. Thanks!! - TargetEadu4 years agoSeasoned AceDo you guys want Vader and Kenobi to just… run past each other every time they come close to meeting? Clone Wars Anakin and Grevious style?
They can sense each other. That’s been established since A New Hope. Kenobi can’t hide. - BigPoppaBangs4 years agoNew Adventurer

That right there is why they should have never met. Disney can't get any thing right but people will make excuses for them.
i swear if disney made OT people would start harping on that quote, saying in episode 3 obi-wan left vader not the other way around, and the episode 4 is ruined
There are 3 more episodes, they will meet each other again, its not the end of the series
How can Vader go back to being the learner?

Easy ... Vader goes back to being the learner when Obi kicks his butt at the end of the series ... - LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned Ace

That's exactly how it works. Vader thinks he is now far superior to Obi ... When Obi schools him, he realizes Obi is still the master and Vader still has much to learn. - LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned AceSo anytime someone beats someone at something they are the master and the other is the learner? So its Star Wars version of "getting schooled" and not a true Master/ Learner relationship?

Lol ... Basically yes ... Vader thinks he has surpassed Obi and thus he is now the Master and he wants to beat down Obi so bad that Obi will learn that Vader is no superior. But Vader hasn't yet exceeded Obi's skills, so Vader will get beaten and realize he is still the lessor trained of the two ("the learner").
