I'm an officer in a guild, and one of our lower powered members set 29 defensive teams with very little thought as to synergy. Leaders with no leader ability, mixed teams that make no sense. If I kick him before battles begin, do his teams remain or will they disappear, allowing us to set more viable defensive teams?

Just kick him out of the guild now for doing that and let us know what happens to his defensive teams. Either way it sounds like you guys are in trouble with and without him.

Even mixed teams or weaker teams can be valuable on defense because your opponents still has to use one of their squads to take them out (which keeps them from using it against your guild stronger teams).

I’m not sure it’s overreacting. He’s certainly decreased our chances of winning in a way that a replacement likely wouldn’t, even if they had a worse roster. Either way, I want to do whatever gives us the best chance to win the current TW. It would be better if his teams required the opponent to use decent teams, but something is better than nothing.

Seems like overkill to kick someone out for that. But I am curious to know what would happen if I had to kick someone out for another reason

To be safe, stack one or two territories with the most open slots really heavy. (unless you're fighting my guild lol)
