Looks like the top 10 players in Kyber division 1 have bunch of Relic 0 toons again. Does that mean if we have bunch of R7 toons we have no chances?

Actually Bus 74 has shown that we do have control over opponent selection. His roster is specifically built to exploit the matchmaking system to get opponents that absolutely have no chance of winning and for which he can solo or 2-man most teams.
This is why since the beginning that most everybody has said that ELO would be a far better system to prevent gaming the matchmaking system. CG has stuck with GP based matchmaking.
Really? Most everybody? Not in the discussions about MM that I have followed.
