I admire your commitment Aero.
I halted @ G9 due to his unfortunate Lack.
Full steam ahead now.
Literally one of my favourite SW characters & it's great to see his toon finally get the opportunity to reflect my opinion of his power.
Agreed, fantastic character. The people that don't like him, or call him whiny, just don't know anything about character development.
He is hands down the absolute worst Dark jedi, sith, whatever ppl wanna call him. To say that's character development is rediculous. He is whiny, he is weak, and he couldn't even sense an untrained force sensitive when she was literally right in front of his face.
Edit; But he is another character to collect as long as they can make him decent.
Kylo didn't complete his training with Snoke. For sure he will be better in The Last Jedi."Thanaton;867097" wrote:

Accurate statement is accurate.
I always wonder, what scene is it exactly, that people think Kylo Ren is whining in.
It is from film in generalSpoiler1. Very first sсene: killing oldman (the real informator) just for fun? The most **** thing ever.
2. The same scene. Instead for announce search for droid he just remove all troops with some pilot. Really?
3. What's his 'credo': 'I just want to be likedadgrandfather'. And that's it. There is no depth in it at all.
4. He smashing valuable equipment just 'in rage'. Veeeeery wise.
5. He lost to girl with no knowlege in force.
6. He made the same mistake in cantina like in first scene. 'Ok, we lost many men, girl saw the map, let's just return back. Again? Really? What about search for droid again?!
All in all Vader in ep. 4 was competent leader, Kylo is just winySpoilerteenager.eared
I see why you'd have that opinion based on how you view those events.
Here's my personal skew on the same.Spoiler
1: That just emphasised to me what a Badass he was. He straight out murdered the Exorcist in cold blood in the first 5 min.
Seeing that is no different than Vader choking a Rebel to death in a corridor the first 5 min
They also had history & knew one another.
Their beef isn't revealed as yet.
2: He didn't know about a droid until he interrogated Poe off planet...is that right?
Correct me if I'm wrong please.
3: The depth regarding the connection to Vader is obviously a developing one & implied as a 'stay tuned' arc. 'Finish what he started"?
4: I found that scene revealing. The rage & anger. It's no wonder he was tempted to the dark side yet the pull to the light side is just as intriguing.
I saw a character conflicted. Yeah...I found it funny too. Spazzing out on an inanimate object but who with that much rage hasn't? I bet the guy telling him the bad news was happy just to get a neck hug. Because we've not seen it from a SW character yet doesn't make it unbelievable.
5: Rey. Obviously they intend her to be an immediate force powerful entity. We've not seen it represented like this before in MU. Yes, Kylo was bested. One could go on about being wounded, coping with the murder of his father (conflicted, remember?), the agenda of bringing her back to Snoke alive or even a further agenda of his own outside of Snokes.
(He told her he could train her in the ways of the force...not the Dark Side. Conflicted, remember?). Point being, I felt he was hurt in more ways than one & Rey out-forced him.
She obviously has a very heavy family lineage (theories abound on who) & is represented accordingly.
6: Kylo is a Master of Mind probe & extracting information. He had the key (so he thought) & left post haste. Note how shocked Snoke was when he learned 'She...resisted YOU?'
The resistance had just turned up with X-wings & troops & were turning the tide on a search party.
So yeah. Knowing I was a badass at force pulling your CC details from your head & being overwhelmed suddenly by the enemy...I'd get out of dodge too.
7: Vader was like what....in his 40's in Ep4? Been through decades of Wars & experience in Battle. Yeah. He's gonna be a better Leader.
These are simply my own personal point of view from the things stated.Spoiler1. He came for map only one person had. Why not to interrogate him, and kill pilot instead if he is so evil? Just on site. Vader killed useless chars. He did not kill Leia, who also was hiding some plans. Winy boy kills key character. Hux was right Kylo is incompetent.
2.Ok. You're commander. You just killed key person, got one survivour without plans. What's your actions? Right, search the place for any traces or clues. Anything! 'Look, sir droids' (c). What Kylo did? Just went away with ALL of his troops, having Star destoroyer on orbit. Veeeeeeery shrood.
3. What did Vader started, BTW? I don't see very strong motivation here.
4.Well, i see it as sign of weakness. Strong person won't release the anger on inanimate objects. Vader was much much cooler. And why did he rage first time. Dialog:
Some officer: - Blah-balh, we lost droid and deserter... And one more thing...
Kylo: Yes?
Some officer: - there was a girl with him...
Kylo: A girl?!?! *choking officer and crashing furniture* (or expensive equipment).
Is he in love with Finn? He is gay and hates any girls? What was the problem? If he knew about rey, there must be much more troops (than 2) in the incapement where she resided, if not he is ... pathetic, and his reaction wierd.
5. Ok, here we don't know much, so may be you have the point. Still it looks very week.
6. Ok, I will skip that too. We don't know much, but at first view it is illogical.
7. Let's say, Vader was on his place: great warrior and competent commander. Kylo is not. Why should I like him then? As i said - he is just teenager."Thanaton;867322" wrote:

Cool cool. :)
Was just my personal opinion on your first post.
I could again give my own explanations of opinions of what you said here but it would in turn, raise more questions & it's clear you've made your mind up about Kylo. Lol.
It's a shame you don't like a major recurring character in the new SW trilogy if you see them that way.
Love him or Hate him, he's there.
I hope you find some redeeming quality enough to enjoy the new movies nonetheless.
Cause after all..Star Wars.
That's true. Let's see what's next...
Also what I don't get isSpoilerWhy he has no dark side marks on his face? No corruption. Red cheeks? How? It was said he killed every jedi Luke trained! There is no dark side in him? Than I simply do not get him even more...- Kylo Ren was no less annoying than his grandfather. In fact you might be confusing his temper tantrums for whining when in fact he is so consumed by the dark side that he must have those outbursts to not force choke everybody he comes in contact with.
To me a big part of that is he seems conflicted and it was a huge step for him to kill his father that most likely he would have known was going to happen. It had to be eating away at him. In fact when he finished killing Han I saw what to me looked like relief come over him. Like finally the deed was done.
He also clearly did not have the go ahead to kill Finn. If Finn was just a trooper then Kylo would have just waved his hand and crushed his heart. The fact he looks at him, lets him escape, and toys with him not finishing him off at the end tells me he is off limits for a reason.
Anyways. Don't mistake outburts of rage as child like whining. He cannot go around just killing everybody although he would have loved to, I am sure, he does not hold the position that Darth Vader did.
Kylo Ren is a powerful force. "WrathofCaedus;867101" wrote:

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. He actually displays that he is one of the strongest force users in the Star Wars Universe. He stops a blaster from Poe in Mid air, then proceeds to walk around having a conversation like it was nothing. Yoda couldn't even do that. Also, you know, since you must have not watched the same Force Awakens that I did, he can use the force to read minds."Thanaton;867097" wrote:

Yes, thank you! What people don't seem to get is that Luke and Anakin were as whiny as it gets! So of course, Kylo Ren will be. Notice he's also around the same age as Luke and Anakin were."Nortikka_aikarajuu;866911" wrote:

@NicolasRage Exactly. Kylos unknown depth & growth within the story I believe will silence a lot of haters.
Some see a whiny emo brat Vader wanna-be who "lost" to a girl adept with a stick, others see an explosive angst riddled inner conflict with a greater agenda, albeit torn, that's not yet revealed.
I for one can't wait to see where his character will take us.
And he is also a skywalker (leia) i wouldn't be suprised if he is the1 to put snoke out of his misery. ;) And maybe rey is evil af( do hope so) to mix things up a bit.
Rey Palpatine fan theory is actually quite credible."NicolasRage;867402" wrote:
