This is gonna be a bit of a rant, and I’m sure people have complained on here about it before, but there’s just a constant wall of kyrotech, all progress is halted by it. Every new character that’s released requires it, and every legendary event then requires these characters, it’s just ridiculous, if it was easier to obtain or the requirements were lowered to 25 then it would make progress far more enjoyable. There’s hardly anywhere to get it, you don’t get a single piece from galactic conquest!!! which is bonkers, such a long, effortful event should give you all the top rewards, it gives you everything else, so why not kyrotech????? You don’t get any in grand arena, and the currency can only buy you small amounts. The raid currency is 2000 mk2 for 5, like who thought that was a good idea??? it should be something more reasonable like 500 for 5. Please make it easier to obtain, it’s such a frustrating bottleneck, only being made worse by the fact that every new release also needs more of it, i can’t help but think it’s an intentional funnel to get people to spend real money on crystals and data cards so they can continue progress.

As someone who complains about a great many things in SWGOH, Kyrotech isn't one of them. Two words - assault battles. In the earlier ones, you will earn 10 of each as a reward for the first challenge tier, guaranteed. In the newer ones, you will earn 45 of one of the types, also guaranteed, after completing either the third of fourth tier. You also get varying amounts as rewards from Territory Battles and Territory Wars. NEVER buy them with Raid currency, that is a ripoff.Kyrotech is a grind, but work on making the assault battles simmable and manage your teams well, and it shouldn't be massively frustrating.

Totally agree. There are so many bad takes in this thread from 10M+ GP players. The issue is that kyros are not an end game problem. You need them fairly early in the game. If your guild does zeffo, you are an end game player. Otherwise they absolutely are a bottleneck. Even the drops are single drops.

Gotta disagree - and this is from someone approaching 12M GP. I can keep up, but all gold currency goes to kyro's. There's not really any to spare for farming toons you don't have. But, between assault battles, episode currency and refreshes i can typically get enough to get a new toon to relic the week of launch. But, yeah, that leaves other toons that aren't relic'd a bit in the lurch. Same with getting shards for older toons that still need them.Perhaps the change is throw in a character from time to time that doesn't need them? Or, not every new character needs the minimum of 300. Maybe some just need 100? Needing 300, 400 and 700 is just extreme frankly. It's literally at the point a new toon releases you know its 300. If it's a journey toon it's 4-500. GL 700. That kind of predicatability is boring. As opposed to variation, NOT having a new toon every 2 weeks would be helpful in that regard. Add to that 4 conquest toons and the journey toons and you're around 30 new characters a year. That's A LOT. All of which require 300 kyro minimum. That's a bare minimum of 9000 kyro's per year to try and stay up to date. THAT is the brutal part. Not so much 300 minimum, but the shear number of new toons per year now.If you recall there WAS a time CG came out and said they were pulling back on marquees (new toons) because they'd been doing too many and burning people out. At that time they were putting out fewer than they are now. Not sure why it was too much then but more isn't too much now.

What stage of game are you? This is important as TB missions removed this bottleneck for me. Where you can get 50 of each every TB. But if it’s too early there are steps to improve your income. Kyros are actually the most abundant gear in game but they require focus to farm.AB are the first area to focus.Other than shard farming use all yellow energy with all 50 crystal refreshes on LS 7B. Kyrotech shock prod and Fabritech data pad for relic scrap.TB Mk2 should only be used for kyrotech battle computers as you get 15 instead of 5.Some income from TWWork towards JKCK and BKM missions in TB (requires guild focus to unlock planets).I understand some of this is difficult early game but my point is they have addressed the bottleneck but it requires investment to build your economy up.

Disagree.Credits and Training Droids were a bottleneck, now they aren't.Tier 2 Purples were a bottleneck, now I use them to keep my coffee table aligned.Kyrotech was a bottleneck, now I give them out as free samples.Everything has a method of alleviation. You'll hit that point with Kyrotech eventually. I enjoy having to manage resources while working up the revenue streams for them. It adds a sense of accomplishment when you're finally over the hump.Prioritize where you drop your gear and focus on income.

Kyro didn't stop being a problem till sometime last year in 2024.

I started April 2019, took right about 5 years till Mid 2024 for Kyro crunch to cease.

Note, they didn't even have Kyro when I started but it came along soon enough after, I think it was summer/fall 2019 IIRC.

Just saying, if your 6.5 mil, fair warning, you have a WHILE to go, and the crunch sucked for all of it :(

Some LSB purchases might help, maybe, Otherwise, plenty of Gold simming for Kyro+Datapads & almost 100% of my GAC coins, as well as both Guild-2 & 3 were all going towards Kyro.

PS.

I'd like to see a 3rd type of Kyro released that is GOLD & ONLY gets used on G12 Finisher 100's going forward.

Then see the existing Purple Kyros go to double like every other piece of Purple gear that is used at G7-11

That way the block at 7-11 gets a bit less while still securing new characters from Relics using the new GOLD kyro piece.

Clearly you haven’t done your research too well - I have just about less GP than OP, and Kyros still aren’t an enormous issue for me. And my guild is weaker than theirs.

I have been chasing all new characters from GLLO, Gungans, Quadme, GLAT, conquest toons into new clones. I sit on 300 battle computers and have not dropped below 100 shock prods.
The only difference I see is the TB missions although this is just 50 every two weeks, it is worth raising it with your guild about zeffo it’s fairly cheap to unlock JKCK and gear him and cere up for the mission. But it does require 30 unlocks so your guild needs to be on board, the mission is fairly easy so does not require to many in excess of 30 players to ensure unlock and has great roi.

Us endgame players used to have stun guns etc as our bottleneck, now newer players get these in abundance. Something has to be a bottleneck in this kind of game, yes you need Kyros but not across the board as newer players should be focusing on core teams to help increase resource income that mostly don't require kyros.
The issue here is you guys want all the new shiny without any kind of time investment as end game players had to do. As it is free Kyros are more readily available than when it was a crunch for us end game players.

TLDR: You either invest time or money to get extra Kyros, otherwise quit complaining.

No it dosent I have hit a point where it is no longer an issue. If you ease the kyro grind then you will be bottlenecked by something else.
I love the lightside kyro node as its bronzium farm as well.
And I get my laptops from my currency.
Sounds like your just a very inefficient with farming them

I'm not saying get rid of it, i'm saying through some variation in it. Every. **bleep**. Character. needs 300-700. Every. **bleep**. One. Get creative, maybe the odd one needs 100, or 200, or god forbid, make a throwback toon needing carbanti's instead. The incessant drone of new character = 300 or whatever it is is just lame design. Especially when burning all your gold currency on kyro refreshes can't keep you on pace without hitting several events and shops along the way.
