How's this any different from the wiggs or any other meta? Competitive people want to win and want the best option to get them there. I personally would rather face zmaul after zmaul, at least I have seen variety in those teams unlike wiggs, sthan, Lando and boba, which I bet if you could see it the # of people running that exact squad is probably in the tens of thousands.

It's true though... The "last meta" was a very wide meta... We had Zader, EP, Rex, Boba, zQGJ and even some of the last Wiggs remaining....Now it's just Zaul, Rex, zQGJ.... Some still use Boba or GK, but by far Zaul infested all shards...I don't mind, i've been through lots of metas and i sticked to my Jedi and i prospered... I'm quite struggling now against Zaul, since i'm 3 haat from GK.... But i still can get my top 1 payout of the day, no problems...But it's true the last meta had a lot more different teams and now 70-80% (at least in my top 10 shard) are all Zauls... It's kinda boring indeed.... But metas are always coming and going... Be patient and it will be over before you notice... Or not :wink:

Honesty I kinda like the zaul meta in a way. I never ever lose to them. Totally get what you are saying though, arena teams on many shards have come down to just a couple types again. It will pass and lots of new teams will emerge again.

Oh okay.. finally got a comment in... if there were a few more toons with uniques similar to B2 where he gains 100% tm on dodges... that might bring zaul to a screeching halt.

Because the real issue with zaul is that dogone dodge!

Dodge is the most annoying mechanic in the game. There even used to be a mega-thread just for all the people complaining about it. So the devs decided to buff a Dodge lead into extreme over powered status and bring dodge back.

Dodge is annoying, and Maul is everywhere. It's very common for me to be ranked between 12 - 30, and Maul leads be my ONLY choice in opponents. It's just not fun.

I'm not having fun in arena lately, and I feel like just waiting for the meta to change and Maul to go away so I can have fun again. I've even thought about deliberately letting my rank fall, just hoping I can fight non Maul teams on my way back up.

This meta can not go away fast enough. If I were able to talk to a dev, I'd practically beg them to shake things up and get people to stop playing Maul, asap.

Problem is, people had to zeta Maul. And zeta's aren't easy to get. So metas in this zeta era are likely to shift slower than before zeta's existed. I don't foresee Maul going away any time soon. Unfortunately.

I don't think Rex leader is boring or stale

I'm not running a Rex lead but that's just one toon as leader

The other 4 can be really really diverse and you can run any number of toons besides Rex.

the triple cleanse Rex lead teams can be lackluster since you have 3 same toons on every team (Chirrut / GK) but I've seen all sorts of toons under Rex lead. With Maul lead you had two other siths (small faction) at the very least

Shhhhhhhh. Don't let facts get in the way of a dam good moan.

The fact that there's almost as many Wedge leads in the top 100 as there is Mauls is a fact ignored by most it seems.
