People should look for old posts when (a) they are asking a question that has already been answered, thus obviating the need to post the thread at all, or (b) the subject has been covered by one or more posts within the last few days. Necroing 2 year old posts is against the TOS of every forum ever.

But this is an effect of Mother’s Zeta. As long as the zombie lives old posts continue to surface then immediately die until someone answers then the post is permanent.
