The announcement was confirmation. This was the other big update they teased when they announced low star relics. They're not going back down from a major, hugely impactful update when they've invested enough time and resources into it that they're at the playtest stage. Relic Delta is going to come to the game, the question is when.
I've honestly just stopped making any long-term plans for this game. When relic delta drops, I'm out.

Agreed let's just pull the band aid off and see what multiplier they end up going with. I bet the percentage they choose will be proportional to the percentage of people that quit as a result. If it ends up being anything more than 1% I'm out of here. This is the single dumbest move in the history of this game, and that's saying alot.
They’ll back down, the same way Disney backed down on Jimmy Kimmel. The backlash is already starting to have financial implications with more being threatened. It’s bad business. Therefore, do it for the money. Or in this case, don’t.

Companies never learn, even today…pushing agendas against every players wishes…..don’t be surprised if you go from earning millions to filing bankruptcy
