Let's talk about the IPB Special Mission.

First let me start with the ROLO Special on the LS TB. The first time I got through it, I did it with ease, with g8 Wedge, g6 lvl 53 CHS and g5 lvl 53 Hoth Soldier and g10 Chaze with mods. No problem whatsoever.

Yesterday I was finally ready with the shards for the troopers and I can into battle with g10 Veers, g8 Shore, g9 Snow, DT, Starck. All of them modded and at lvl 85 with omega upgrades. I survived the first wave with Veers, Starck and Snow standing without any protection. Obviously I didn't get past it. The funny thing is, there were like 4 elites in my first wave AND on top of that they all countered. It's needless to say how st u p id it is to have 4 elites countering on a team that is based on AOE..

So how about we tune it down a bit, because the difference between this and the LS special is off the charts.

I personally enjoy difficulty, even that means my guild can't give enough shards of ipd

Yeah I used g10zeers, g9 on the rest and got crushed. Barely knocked the protection off one in the first wave.

Good for you, I assume you've got the troopers maxed out. There has literally been no special mission so far that has had such requirements. Combat missions and their difficulty is one thing, specials are another. Not being able to get through a special missions for shards with g9/10 toons is ridiculous.

honestly, if everyone would just stop comparing it with LS TB, it wouldn't be such a big deal.
It's similar to raids, the most recent one is just more difficult, as it should be.

If your Shore is geared, you should be able to aoe and eat all of those counters with protection to spare. Mine is 6 star, gear 11, and by the time the rebels started dropping, he was at around 10% protection. He went in to the second round at around 70% protection thanks to the zeta on Veers. If you can't eat the counters, trooper single target damage isn't bad, it just takes a bit longer.

I got owned by fast fingers and the squad auto-fill. Apparently the game thought my g8 Stormtrooper would be of more use than my g11 7* Deathtrooper and left DT on the bench. No idea why. Just as I was releasing the Battle button I noticed what it did. NOOOOOOooooooo...... :s
Wish the auto-fill could be disabled via an option, it almost never does the right thing.

Invest the time, or money. I did buy the 40 shard Starck pack. Build your team.

G8/9/sometimes 10 won't cut it.

there wasn't any special mission like this and now it is.. Accepted it and make effort to beat it or just give up and stop complaining.
