Yeah, but that isn't the formula that is in the game, and the way you phrased it made the term exponential unclear. Use of the word would instead of could for instance. It makes it definitive, which it isn't, instead of possible, which it is, but only if it makes up a part of the formula,
I am disturbed by the misuse of the word. Sure you found a loophole that could make what I was saying wasn't true be true. Congratulations, now please quit detracting from the point to play devil's advocate.
The point is that we do not have an exponential growth equation in this game. It is a linear growth equation.
