You're just wrong, and pedantic, and obnoxious.
If anyone is playing devil's advocate, it's you, by constantly saying that not all multipliers mean exponential growth, when not only does "exponential" have a common English definition, but I have explicitly stated the equation I have referred to, and it is the exponential growth equation.
There are equations that involve multipliers that are not exponential growth, yes.
The assertion I was refuting was built on a presupposition that every level takes 10% more XP to reach than the last. Turning the word problem into math, previous generation times 1.1 across multiple generations, we get X=C*1.1^N, as I said. That is the exponential growth equation.
Now back off. If anyone is muddying the waters and making things unclear, it's you, with your relentless nitpicking over my correct word choice.
Excuse me? Who nitpicked what who was saying? You responded to I, I didn't begin speaking to you.
I'm afraid that you have been concocting scenarios in which what I was saying was wrong since your first response to me, and then you have the gall to call me obnoxious?
A 10% increase is not an exponential growth model. You have shown a formula where it could be an exponential increase, but since you missed this the last several times I said it, that isn't the formula for the response I was addressing when you decided to "correct me".
No, the fact of the matter is that you are wrong, you are just playing devil's advocate, and apparently you are quite rude on top of it.

6 responses down was the 1st time "exponential" anything was used and "exponential growth" was the term.
@Woodroward You decided upon "exponential equation" which is a definitive term and does not describe our leveling system.
@YaeVizsla was correct to disagree w/ you as do i and the poster above me. Stop introducing terms yourself, laying them on others' doorsteps and arguing that it was their statement. The devil's advocate is you.
I dont like agreeing w/ @YaeVizsla, we butt heads frequently but you left me no choice.
I started talking about exponential growth equations. I didn't introduce terms myself. I corrected someone who was misusing the term exponential. Saying exponential equation does not a new term make. Exponential growth is represented by an exponential equation. They are one and the same, not a different term.
I will continue to persist in what I am saying because it is accurate. People routinely misuse the term exponential, like it was being misused here. I pointed out that it was being misused. YaeVisla is the one who is incorrect here, and it would behoove you and the other poster above you to not attempt to "correct me" either.

Lol. You guys... @YaeVizsla is 100% correct. That is an exponential increase. @Woodroward , you’re just trying to sound extremely smart with your amazing vocabulary and better-than-average grammar... and it’s almost working. But it also doesn’t make you right.
YaeVisla is correct that the formula he showed is an exponential increase, but he is not correct that that is the formula that is under discussion. a steady 10% increase represents as a line on a graph, not as a curve. It is not an exponential growth equation. This is why he is incorrect overall, because he is showing it as compounded rather than steady. He is incorrect. What I addressed is NOT exponential. The fact that he keeps showing OTHER equations that are exponential does not in any way make him right, or make what he's doing anything more than playing devil's advocate.
