Whatever the case is with loaned unit, you can expect it's not to your benefit. Another pay-wall that they managed to introduce into the game. I've gotten +1 tokens last couple of days and they are at level 52. My R5 is at 52 and Zeb is at 59.
My theory is that the loaned units scale according your character level and what tier you've cleared in Coliseum and I think that because I was unable to do the event for 2 days.
