Correct me if I am wrong, but the two games are made by two different companies... so why would one company dictate what the other will do with their game?

I think the logic behind that is, one game has a certain character and they see fans who really like that it would be smart to put said character in this game too.

Lucasfilm decides what characters can be released in what games and when, so CG had no fault in this

You sure they don't pitch ideas to lucasfilms and wait for an OK?
