But seriously, don't understand some of the nasty complaints. They were up front and open about how new toons would be released. Exclusivity for the big spenders first, then the mid spenders, then FTP. Makes sense to me.

I believe same thing was happening with auridium packs but for far less money and much better deals.

I just brilliantly smashed a Maul squad with gear11 star DN, he's good but far from a game changer. We're talking top 4 game play too. Love to see him as a leader so I can bring my 287 speed TFP with Vader and just smash him in the face again.

I bet most don't like it at all. The people that actually work on the codes are awesome. This game is top notch in that department with lots of talent. Easy to tell just from playing or looking at animations how good they are.

Now the ones that make the financial decisions based on player psychology to create the prices and drop rates .....

As with all new toons, I will monitor very closely in the next week or so before committing any resources to see how they perform

I think, there are enough players spending the crystals for the two packs to get the new sith to 4* So everything is running nice for EA.

To give 20 of 30 shards to the players was very good, because many players will think: "purchasing two packs should be ok, and I have a chance to get 60 shards" ;)

Viable at 3* but $400 per character and $1200 for the set to use them in raids?

You people are too funny. EA says to you that they'll release toons at crazy high prices, later cut them to a fraction of the cost, then further down the road make them free, and then you complain because of your complete lack of self control or because of your insane sense of entitlement?

I can't think of a single product on this earth that's worth paying 10x for it just to have get it a month or two before anyone else (for now we'll ignore the fact that this item has absolutely no tangible value, and will be outdated in the blink of an eye).

You've got a 'preview' of a character; you got to give him a test drive around the block, and in a short period of time you and your buddies will be able to pick him up for the same cost as most other characters in the game, and if you wait a little longer then the company selling their product will give up on making money on that character and let you have 'em for free.

Reading these threads is so comical. Yeah, having exclusivity is expensive and for the same price of that exclusivity you can go out and buy a new phone, iPad, a new game system and a whole library of video games, yet EA is wronging you because you lack the ability to do simple math?

I don't know which group is funnier, the ones who actually spend thousands of dollars for their month or two of exclusivity, or the ones that spend a couple hundred and have nothing to show for it. Oh wait, no... the funniest will always be the people who think everything in the world should be completely free.
