To be honest, i strongly agree with you, we all know that whales are going to whale no matter the price, they just click the purchase button at it was free.
The LSB opened a new market for player like us, in nearly 8years of play i may have spend around 300€ maybe a little more in 8 years.. I consider myself a free/semi free to play since i may do 2-3 purchase per year, but this year with LSB i went a little further.
During the LSB seasons i have discarded some of them, even though i really wanted to purchase them, as you said, because the price, is not worth when you have 70% of the bundle. I wanted to buy the Raddus bundle, because old republic and young lando, but i had 70% of the bundle. All full ships, and 5 or 6 of 10 toons relic.
A discount structured for the owned toons/ships, would benefit both players and CG.

If I had some kind of discount for having everything else, I would have bought it.
Why not give us the option to buy certain parts of the pack.
I’d gladly buy the 4 toons I wanted for $2.50 each.
