Agreed. After making much hay of being able to relic characters before 7* in the recent update post, putting one LST at lvl 50 of the free track that doesn't even go to R1 comes off as just typical EA greed. I don't trot this word out often when it comes to SWGOH feedback, but it really killed any excitement when I saw that the free track didn't even offer one of these new LSTs that was worth a **bleep**. If it was for more recent/premium characters, then I guess that would be a fair compromise, but last month it was smugglers and tanks, now it's Imperial Remnant: not exactly premium stuff.
I still love the recent QOL update but CG made a bad call with LSTs: they announced them and didn't even give the community a juice freebie to whet the appetities. It was the barest minimum. A missed opportunity imo.
I mean I love this game and it needs to make money in order to keep loving it so I have a hard time wrapping it up to greed. I just think they need to find a better middle ground. Whales were already spending and working on new content. F2p players have traditionally held out for accelerated farms ect. This update kind of turned them on their heads. Im neither, so with spending a little I feel I should be able to buy a battle pass and fill my older characters on my roster past 5* R1. I still have to farm those shards, I still have to farm that signal data. It's time taken off farming these new characters that are being released at such a fast pace now.
