There isn’t much of a difference both should be made more easily available.

I don’t have a problem with them making the events difficult.
I do have a problem though with poor game design and poor content progression.

I guess I agree with the larger point that a lot of legacy content needs to be made more accessible (seriously, what’s the point of farming hard nodes for Lobot or Urorurrr or even Baze at this point?). But I just don’t think that Logray and the other guild store exclusives are particularly bad offenders in this regard.

I bought five more shards this morning at refresh.

Some toons are more accessible than others. There's no reason for them to change it.

From what I’ve seen so with me being about 65 shards short that is about a 1 month farm if I make sure to check every rotation. With bad rng and that degree of variance it could easily balloon up to 2 maybe 3.

The moral of the story. Logray is probably most efficiently farmed by slowly farming from the guild shop which would take 6-8 months or you can spend crystals in the main shop.

Assuming six toons sharing that slot, and assuming an even distribution of appearance (which isn't the case, but assuming for simplicity sake)....four refreshes of the store daily. After three days you'd see each toon twice, meaning you can buy 10 shards every three days. It would take you 18-21 days to get 65 shards.

With that said we know there isn't an even distribution, it's RNG (although we also don't know how weighted the odds of each are). So it could be far less than 18 days....or far more.

EDIT: Seems to be a safe bet that the event starts 12/14 and runs a week, so you have around 18 days or so.
