- Overall, I thought it was a solid episode. Loved the Jet Pack kill and the X-Wing pilots killing spiders from the cockpit of their X-Wings.
Though I'm pretty sure the episode should have been named Mando Potter and the Chamber of Eggs - braskmeNew Spectator"No! No." --lol, the eggs
That Xwing chase was way better than whatever that nonsense was with the falcon in RoS. Seems like Filoni just wants to fly an Xwing
And the ending when I knew exactly what was happening outside by the sound of the xwing blasters, switching to rebel blasters. That was a great touch.
So now two good standalone episodes. Now I'm ready for some season arc episodes - Those spider things look... a lot more terrifying in here than in Rebels.
(They are a bit different - actual mouths instead of beaks - but still very similar to the spiders on Atollon. Except the big ones are ten times bigger.) - I actually hated the episode... wife and I laughed at Yoda cause basicly it was like our dog... otherwise, very pointless, no characters, no arc and I fear by the end of the season Baby Yoda will have run its course and they will have gone to that well too many times and he’s now the jester side kick vs the awesome powerful what’s he gonna pull of next mystery creature...
Also pissed that baby Yoda didn’t badass lift mandos ship out of the ice Ala old Yoda. - I found myself angry at The Child for the first time in the series. I really didn't appreciate him eating Gecko-Girl's progeny and found it heartbreaking rather than hilarious.
The Knobby White Spiders were appropriately terrifying.
I think my favotite part of the episode was when Gecko-Girl rigged the vocabulator of the old droid.
(Yes, I'm aware the subtitles called her Frog Woman, but let's be serious - she looked way more like a gecko.) - Hungry Baby Yoda is an evil bastard. Really.
This episode feels like a massive filler episode to me. The payoff of the episode will be coming next week.
The spiders were terrifying. But not as terrifying as Baby Yoda eyeing up the eggs. - @MasterSeedy thank you for a great reply
- Every single minute looks stunningly beautiful, filler or not

@Lor_San_TekaWhat was "less than stellar" about episode 1, iyo?
A few things...
I think, and I may be reading into this too much, the most important thing about the dragon fight was showing that Mando armor can survive in the pit of something as vile and acidic as the stomach of that beast. It serves as an explanation as to why a certain other bounty hunter wearing similar armor might have survived being in the belly of an underground-dwelling monster.- I love the show, and I feel like its right in the sweet spot for timeline in the universe. They have access to so much nostalgia without it being a stretch, but they can flesh out and build up their own "new things" to help create its own niche.
