Bane vs Queen TW - Evade/Malevolent Whirlwind

Hey all,

I got a question maybe u guys can help me understand the mechanic.

When I'm fighting with Bane+1 in TW vs Queen, Mace, KAM, Master Qui-Gon, Padawan Obi-Wan I have the problem that the enemies always have foresight up and I can't hit them with my attacks, especially with Malevolent Whirlwind. According to the description it should remove all buffs from enemies twice and then deal damage. Is there any mechanic that I'm missing that gives the enemies foresight again after it's removed?

  • It's always been bugged and CG are probably hoping that we forget about it.

  • It's "supposed to" clear buffs TWICE, but it doesn't.  CG doesn't prioritize it because it doesn't give us a boost in PVE situations.  It only effects us negatively so it's not a priority for them.

At this point, CG is a bunch of accountants only concerned about revenue and spending as little as possible on keeping the game running.  The gamers are gone or transformed into accountants.  Quality is irrelevant, bugs are irrelevant, player concerns are irrelevant (unless they can make money off those concerns.)  As I mentioned, the only time they care about bugs is if the bug is helpful to players in PVE situations.  Like when we had the Duel of the Fates the first time and it lasted for days instead of just one.  They fixed that ASAP.  They probably paid OT to quite a few devs to fix it.

This is one of many years-long bugs that are just there.  Don't count on them getting fixed as long as CG is run by accountants instead of gamers.  They've become mini-EA.

ALL of that!  CG is pure **bleep**.  A dozen or more forced restarts day and if the company had anyone with brains they would fix all of those messed up purchases.  All they want is your money and yet look how bad they are even at collecting, really stealing, that.  Want a char?  No worries, we'll give you crystals instead.

  • At the risk of being thrown some bricks and tomatoes, I think the ability works as intended.  It can be avoided and it needs to hit in order to dispel debuffs.  It works just like Shaak-Ti's basic.

So, the first check is to see whether it hits or not.  If it hits, then it dispels twice and does all it normally does.  If it does not hit, then nothing happens.

Not saying it's fun, not saying it should be avoidable, but I'm pretty it's wai at this point.

"Dispel all buffs on all enemies twice, then deal physical damage to all enemies twice"

If CG are happy with how it currently works, then they should change the description to how it works now. Until then, it's bugged and they just don't care because it doesn't help us.

  • It's a forever bug, that's been happening since day 1. It's not even in their queue to work on it and have still not acknowledged the issue publicly. In 5v5, put gmy with your QA and it will get some holds on lesser banes.

The first check is clear buffs...it's not coded to match description. If it was deal damage first then clear buffs, then yes you would be correct.
