- Not sure why everyone is so upset about it. They were unfertilized eggs, not embryos. And there were a ton of them. No one seemed to care that he ate a live baby spider creature in the same episode or a frog last season. Those were living beings. Not a bucket of eggs. She had plenty. How many kids does she need? Also, he’s a baby. Babies eat all sorts of things they shouldn’t. It doesn’t make them evil.
- I actually loved it. Thought it was better than Chapter 9 I must admit. One of my favourite ones they've output so far.
- Not a good look to go to a bottle episode in the 2nd episode, but we'll see how it plays out.
- SnuggeSnugglesRising NoviceI think it’s good that Hungry Yoda doesn’t save the day with his powers.
On a different note, anyone else hoping for Thrawn being the boss of Moff Gideon? - MasterSeedyNew AceOnce they crashed in the ice cave, I lost some interest.
This is two less-than-stellar episodes in a row. I'm hoping for more, unfortunately. I guess my standards are just too high, because they aren't bad, yet they still manage to disappoint. - So far, season 2 is off to a great start. The first episode gave us a teaser of something to look forward to and this one gave us more of baby Yoda and his antics. This episode showed that Star Wars doesn’t have to always have a Galaxy sized threat. It is a stand alone episode with a good pace and flow.
Sure some people may have wanted to learn immediately about Boba Fett and his connection. His pay off will have his turn and I am certain Filoni and Favreau will knock it out of the park. "MasterSeedy;c-2188963" wrote:

What was "less than stellar" about episode 1, iyo?- It’s good for a TV show. Unfortunately, most expect it to live up to movie quality story arc every episode. I think Game of Thrones has spoiled us to that type of epic story telling. It’s a lot more enjoyable if your expectations are that of a serial TV show, similar to Star Trek. I will say, though, that the spiders/facehuggers were way too predictable. We’ve seen that reveal about 20 times in Alien movies.
- A bit of a non-plot episode but if you think that in the first season there were a couple of these (The Prisoner) which added but didn't develop the story. I liked it and I didn't realise the spiders were from Rebels - yes! The best bit was baby yoda gobbling the egg in the last scene - made me chuckle.
On a side, note, there have been loads of characters which have been Twileks - I wonder if they are gearing us up to a Hera Syndulla reveal? The spiders were a nod to Rebels and she was certainly around - well if you consider the Ghost being there in Ep XI!
I'd like to see the Fett pair up with Mando too - a here's your gear you muppet - oh you cant wear it! Nevermind, there's hardly any Mandolorians around now anyway type of episode. - If Baby Yoda is so keen on those eggs, does that suggest that he comes from the same planet?
