Someone else told me that the Ahsoka episode was going to be a backdoor pilot for a Ahsoka spinoff series, and the way this episode ended, it did look like a backdoor pilot episode

I think they'll greenlit a series starring Ahsoka finding Thrawn, and that plotline won't be part of mando season 3
