This episode is the best thing to happen to Star Wars in many years. They are setting things up for a big cliff hanger on tython and we don’t know which Jedi will turn up.. Luke? Ezra? When gideon shows up there, Mandos got a nice weapon to use against the dark sabers now. If you don’t really understand what’s going on with the entire Star Wars universe (understandable) you should watch the Star Wars theory breakdown videos of each episode on YouTube.
Every episode they release strengthens the storyline of the crappy sequels and makes palpatine surviving more believable and snoke being a failed clone experiment fit in the story nicely (the failed experiments from ep4 look like snoke). The last two episodes have done a really good job of building on the cloning side of Star Wars that often gets brushed aside for lightsaber action. Palpatine is behind everything the whole time, trying to create a suitable vessel for himself so that he can live forever. He’s trying to make force sensitive clones but they reject the blood. They are after Grogu for his blood and his story still has a lot of mystery surrounding it. He survived order 66 and we don’t know what happened to him during his time of “darkness”.
Some Star Wars fans don’t really know ezra / ashoka / thrawns stories and this is a good time to watch the clone wars and rebels series or get a summary of who they are from YouTube cos rumour is they will get a spin off show. Star Wars is so much more than just the original movies and if you love this game then you’ll probably find it interesting to learn more about all the characters.
No matter what they do with the mandolorian, it will never make palpatine returning any better IMO. His return ruins the ending of episode 6. They had a whole trilogy to make palpatine return believable or at least somewhat seem reasonable and they failed mainly because palpatine returning was never the plan. I think they would be best to stay clear of the sequels in this show. It’s an outlet where most fans all agree on the show being at least pretty good. They are a lot of cool avenues involving cloning and potentially dark troopers they could take that don’t involve the sequels. The moment they start using the show to tie in sequel content is when a lot fans may be turned off from the show. Just my opinion.
