Every other post is someone whining about not having these toons. The devs basically said we needed them. I don't mind that they don't spell it out for us, and instead they gently nudge us in the right direction, but there are a ton of people who complain. Kozi said that there would be ways we can pick up the shards easier, so I'm guessing packs (boo) and double drops (yay).
Let's look at the characters we need:
Leia: she has incredible rebel synergy, and is a must for the tank raid. Her stealth and triple shot are awesome.
STHan: In the past, one of the best tanks in the game. His taunt which adds TM is huge. It used to be, whoever's STHan shot first would win the battle.
R2: best support character in the game? Maybe. Hard to get? Not if you have the standard Empire team of Vader, EP, RG, TFP, Tarkin. But I can see the argument that R2 is the hardest of the bunch to acquire. That said, you've had a couple months to build an Empire squad to get him, and who doesn't want the little astromech? He's adorable. Also, you all just lucked out with r2. Every other legendary character took months to return.
That leaves Luke and Old Ben. Ugh I want neither.
Farmboy Luke: they told us we'd need him. They gave us tons of shards. DUH! He sucks though.
Old Ben: this is the one most of us will have trouble with. I went the Dooku route when dodge was the key. But many got Old Ben. He's... old, so many people may have him??? I started farming a couple days ago. He's an easy farm, I guess. I also just geared him from 1 to 8 this evening. I think I had to spend 60 energy.
Good luck to everyone. If you aren't good at reading the signs, next time listen to what others are saying. I read dozens of posts that highlighted excellent reasons that these would be the required five toons. At some point, you may want to listen instead of argue. (Or not and then be ****... Whatever works for you.)
They're getting reworked next week too, so they won't be as bad anymore. Old Ben is getting taunt & Rebel tag (among other updates)
