Merciless Massacre Zeta

After applying the zeta on Merciless Massacre and taking Vader into a couple battles, there's a few things to note:

1. The zeta pretty much makes the ability run. You could maybe get by without the zeta but it's really worth getting.
2. The Merciless Target icon is a blue icon so it can't be dispelled.
3. Force Crush doesn't remove Merciless Target from all enemies, only the primary target.
4. If you hit someone with Merciless Target, you take an immediate bonus turn.
5. Using Merciless Massacre as the opening move is pretty good, but you'd probably want to use Force Crush first so you reduce the cooldowns on it with Merciless Massacre, which should be your second move. I did a battle using Merciless Massacre first and found that it was okay, but when using Force Crush first, it was much more effective.

Against a team of 5, I used Force Crush, followed by Merciless Massacre, Culling Blade, 4 basics, another Force Crush, another Culling Blade, and a basic. That gets you to a cool down of 1 for Merciless Massacre, and then you go from there.

Overall, I think this will make Vader a better character. You'll be able to use him in DS Geo to a pretty good effect, because there will often be more than 5 characters in a starting wave. In that case, I'd save Culling Blade until the second round of Force Crush so you have a better chance of taking out an opponent. It might also be useful in the HPit/HAAT (if you still play those manually) and it'll definitely help his GAC viability.

Good job, Capital Games. Just center his chest. And release the Road Ahead this week. Here's to hoping we get a new game mode we can use this new Vader rework in.

Vader can almost ability block the whole enemy team before they take a single turn now. That's nothing to be sneered at.

And with palp, 2 force crushed before they even get to go, culling blade one, and your team gets a nice boost to turn meter. And with thrawn, you can get Vader back into his “hmmmm. Who to kill now” mode before they go...

Also, he is back to being a great dr killer

If you can add footage, that'd be great. I don't have the technological capabilities, unfortunately. And I think against DR, Merciless Massacre should be used first. Forgot about that.

Yeah against DR/Malak you definitely have to go Merciless Massacre first since you won't get any TM from Palp's lead. That said it's a breeze to kill Malak that way
  • One thing is for sure at this stage, with all the money spent, "I am proud and happy to be a veteran of swgoh game". Keep up the good work EA!

How do yall like his Zeta? Not sure if I want to apply it or not.

Imagine using Vader, and you take a turn. Then another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And the final turn. Now, imagine, on the final turn, you use crushing force under palp lead, allowing you to take another turn. Now, try to imagine the debuffs and a culling blow...

The zeta makes him viable again. He can take out sith empire.

He can also take out GL Rey teams - and any Jedi teams. The zeta does a lot more than "make him viable" lol.

I literally applied it immediately. It's so good. It makes Vader not just so much more viable but also just so much more fun. When you see a Vader with not that good mods hit a Culling Blade for 121K, it's pretty incentivizing.
