i was reading the entire post, maybe i just didn't remember that part, the thing is it, no matter if they make info in the post about it, it's still misleading other tokens can show properly what abilities will be upgraded to what lvl, when there was zeta i seen before situations where all abilities were lvl 7 and one lvl 6 cuz it was zeta

Since when do we have to read the forum posts to play the game?

If the game says it will update the specific ability from 6 to 8, one should be able to assume it will do that when you press the button. 

That being said, it is a bit silly to assume something as valuable as an Omicron would just be doled out.  They even specifically said that Zetas are included, implying that (lower) Omegas are as well, but (higher) Omicrons are not.

I don't think you will get much for experiencing this discrepancy, but I still believe you are technically correct.

The point is that it’s misleading in the game, 80% of players don’t read the forums. In my opinion they shouldn’t have too either. All this is avoided if there is a note that says excludes omnicrons or only showing the ability upgraded to level 7. It’s not a huge issue but it is an issue.

Posts like this are why CG doesn’t bother to address legitimate concerns.  

Inbox messages that announce updates routinely invite you to check out the forums for more info. If you don't read the forum posts, that's cool, but CG keep telling players to look at information on the forums with in-game messages. It's also neither a new thing nor unique to SWGOH that some information about a video game is not available from inside the game itself. Patch notes, update text posts--this is common and accepted practice in the gaming space and has been for years. If you are the kind of purist who just refuses to look at the forums on principle, that's on you. 

Detailed information about anniversary quests and the LSTs awarded by those quests was provided well in advance.

I agree it's certainly misleading showing the levels will upgrade to 8 like that. I read the forum announcement so was aware Omis wouldn't be included but they've not made that clear in the game and I'm sure only a fraction of the players read the forums.

They need to change it so that it shows the correct levels you'll get (i.e. 7, not 8) or change the little proviso to say zetas included but not Omicrons.
