here is the new "truth" from mg.

As those games progress they get more expensive. But that doesn't help anyone that complains about cg, so keep going and be disappointed.
disappointed ? about what ?
my point is that these ex game changers are not trustworthy and not better than ea/cg.
they are influencing people to play this dragon game and they will receive their money for it.
thats why "truth" is in quotation marks
I simply talked about the 100d vs 100d
Beginner value vs endgame value...
Let’s be honest here though.
$100 in early 2016 spent on chromium packs in SWGOH did not yield even close to the amount of shards as that new game does now.
It feels different to buy shard rolls for Star Wars characters though rather than some random orcs.
Completely agree with that, just refuting the notion that early swgoh pricing was on par with this new fairy orc game. It wasn’t, not even close.
Buying chromiums in swgoh has always been horrible in terms of value and not worht it unless you're gonna whale out. If you had a 100 bucks to spend in the early days people would advice you against buying chromiums.
Maybe that other game is different, i don't know. To me mobilegamer doesn't seem like the best judge of value in any mobile game to be honest.
Pretty simple if you watched the video with MG buying packs and also bought packs in swgoh around the same time of launch of both games.
Someone said, you can’t compare $100 end game swgoh to $100 early fairy game, which is totally fair.
So, let’s compare $100 early game swgoh chromiums to $100 early game fairy chromiums and in that the fairy game gives prob 5x the shards, if not more, from what we see in MGs video.
Why doesn't it suprise me that mobilegame bought chromiums early on, haha.
I haven't watched the vid since i'm not going to play that game. Once i'm finally done with swgoh i'm not going to play a similar game, of that much i'm sure. Since i don't play that game, or watched the vid i can't really say antying about what value you're getting for your money in that game. Simply comparing chromiums 1 on 1 with this game probably doesn't tell the whole story, but it makes for a great vid tittle though ;)
I’m not defending MG at all, but at least I have done a bit more research than you admittedly have.
Chromiums should be a good value to jump start a roster in the beginning, just because swgoh had horrible chromium value from the very beginning does not and should not negate that.
The new fairy game seems to have got at least that part better, only time will what happens here on out.
The way I see it right now the only things that swgoh have going for it in regards to player retention are:
1. Star Wars brand
2. Awesome original game design, mechanics and artwork
3. Time/money sunk
If it wasn’t for those things, this game would have already been done
My only point is that chromiums **** in this game and just because they're better in that other game doesn't mean it's gonna be all rainbows and sunshine over there, not even if some youtuber is promoting it.
Also, i don't think reason 3 should be a reason to keep playing. If that's the only reason you're still playing it might be worth giving that other game a shot, or any other game really.
You apparently don’t understand how these games work then.
#3 is a major factor in player retention in mobile micro transaction games. It’s taught and explained in detail internationally.
you misunderstood, i'm not saying it isn't a major factor in player retention, i'm saying it shouldn't be the only reason for anyone to keep playing a game. You may have heard of the sunk cost fallacy?
