Mod Calibration disappointing

So far mod calibration has been a total waste of time. I know RNG is a big factor, but in almost every case I’ve attempted to make a mod “better” the system generates a result that is worse than the previous occasion. I’m just wondering if this is the experience others or having or if I’ve just had extremely bad luck so far.

  • Still small sample size but I’ve run through all the calibration mats I’d saved and came up with roughly 60% of the time I’d get a better result overall if not necessarily the stat I was seeking. Better results than I’d been getting previously. Getting the stat I wanted, and getting it higher about 30% of the time. Which wouldn’t surprise me if that’s near where the Devs intended.

I wonder why the cap of 6 calibration attempts per mod? I suppose that’s probably to limit people whaling until they get their definition of a perfect mod.

I'm never disappointed in what I get because I'm doing the exact same things as before so I'm out nothing. I've been very happy a handful of times when I rolled better stats for no extra effort on my part
