Mod Challenges - Series 9

You just need a team of decent toons.

I was able to finish all mod battles on stage 9 - except for final one (vs Resistance) - using lv 80, g8 5-7 star Empire squad (DV7, EP6, Thrawn5, GMT7, TFP7). You need a NS strategy. I use the same strategy as I use in the arena vs NS squads and it was pretty easy.

I can't remember what I used for that battle, but if you can use any faction try using imperial troopers if you have them since its ns. Zveers and crew can handle them nicely

Yeah I just went back and looked, open to any char. I probably just powered through with my jtr squad or something. Honestly can't remember. But if you got some good allies it would be best to borrow a char that has synergy with yours. So, say if you have troopers but no zetas on them see if someone has zveers to borrow. Or if you have resistance see if a zjtr is available. Zbastila for Jedi etc. good luck and game on!

I getting that against the NS squad it is best to have imperials. I am a FTP player and have bee playing very casually. What I do have are all of Phoenix unlocked and on the way to being sufficiently modded. My focus has been solely on Phoenix, Adm. Ackbar (gear lvl 10, lvl 85), ST Han (gear lvl 8, lvl 70), Cad Bane (almost unlocked), IG 88 (lvl 65 and gear 8), Lando (not the young one) (gear lvl 9 and lvl 85), Boba (gear 9 and lvl 85), and Biggs (gear 8 and lvl 75). All of these are 7*.

As far as Jedi aside from QGJ, MW, EB, and KJ, I have the following: AT fulcrum is lvl 85 and gear lvl 9, AT Padawan, Jedi Consular, and Lumi all at gear level 8 and lvl 85. GMY comes in at gear lvl 8 and lvl 75. These are all 7*. Visas Marr is level 64, and gear lvl 7, Jedi Knight Guardian is at lvl 35 and gear lvl 5. HY and Plo Koon and Eth Koth are at lvl 1 and gear lvl 1. I do not have unlocked: Anakin, Kit Fisto, Aayla Secura, Ima-Gun Di, Gen Kenobe, CLS, and Barris Offee.

I'm currently switching my focus to getting my Old Republic squad up an running so I can get Revan the next time around. All five of that squad are at 4* and between levels 66-70 and at gear lvl 8 and in the process of being modded. I do not have Reven (165/330).

For my imperials: I have Vader at lvl 85, gear level 9. I have EP and GAT unlocked but I have not focused much on them. My stormtrooper is 7* level 50 gear 7. My Imp TP is at level 57 and 4* gear level 7. The rest of my troopers: Snowtrooper, Supercommando, Veers, Range Trooper, range form level 40 to lvl 1. Again I have not put much focus into them, yet. I do have Dooku unlocked though he is at base stats, not much has been done with him.

My FO squad is in worse shape as the imperial troopers and range from lvl 60 to lvl 1. My FO Squad: KRU (4* lvl 60, gear 7), KR (4* lvl 51 gear 7), FO SF TP (4* lvl 52 gear 6), FO TP (4* lvl 51 gear 6), FO Stormtrooper (4* lvl 55, gear 6), FO Executioner (4* gear 1, lvl 1) and FO Officer (3* lvl 1 gear 1)

My Resistance squad: Rey (scavenger) (7* Gear 8 lvl 70), Finn (7* gear 8, lvl 66), RP (3* lvl 53, gear 7), R2D2 (no focus on him he is 5* and and lvl 1). Rose Tico, Vice Adm Holdo, and Poe are all at 4* and lvl 1 all around. I do not have BB8 unlocked (100/145), nor Resistance Trooper (17/25) nor JTR.

My Rebel squad is in bad shape (including my Rogue 1 squad also). Aside from Phoenix, Lando, ST Han, AT Fulcrum, Lando, R2-D2, and Biggs The remainder are as follows: Luke (Farm boy) (4* gear 7 lvl 59), Wedge (4* lvl 52, gear 6), Bodhi Rook (2* lvl 43, gear 4), Jyn, Hoth Rebel Soldier, and Hoth Rebel Scout are 4* and levl 1, Princess Leia is 3* and lvl 1. Old Ben (55/80), Han (92/145), Scarif (15/25), Rebel Officer Leia (46/80), Cassian (27/50), Lobot (23/50), Chewie (OT) (50/145), Baze (12/50), Bistan (6/25), Chirrut (12/50), Pao (6/25), Cpt Han (hoth) (10/80), K2SO (0/50), and CLS (0/330)

Also, I do not have these unlocked: Traya, Sidius, and Nihilus.

With what I have listed that I DO HAVE what works best against the NS? Jedi or Imp? or can both Jedi and Imp teams have success?

Jedi don't have enough AoE or damage to deal with them. Bastila lead maybe with extra protection but plague will bypass it anyway.

Empire/Sith is great because almost all the big players have AoEs.

First Order with borrowed Boba Fett makes it rain absolute destruction on all the Mod 9 battles.

Bastila lead Jedi crushed all of the mod battles and challenges for me.

Okay, so I just did the battle with my Phoenix and a borrowed zeta vader. It didn't get 3 star but did win. My Ezra is no zeta gear12, Sabine is zetad at gear 10 or 11 and the rest are gear 8 and 9 no zetas. Hera zeb and kanaan. You can check out my Phoenix on swgoh.gg under haysswa if you want to see if they are similar to yours. Based on the char info you gave that seems to be your best bet. Hopefully you got some zetad allies you can borrow from. Good luck and keep working on your chars, you'll get there eventually. The best advise I could give is to pick a faction you want to work on, like say empire, and focus only on them. If 5 chars is too much at once just pick one and get them up to par. Then move to the next. This game is all about resource management and tons of patience. I'm coming in on 3 years of play and at around 3.4mil gp. It felt like nothing was getting going in my first year and half and then all of sudden my chars were getting better, events were getting easier, resources were building up etc. Mainly because I choose to stock up stuff and only work a few chars at a time after I had researched them, watched videos and listened to fellow guildies comments on how useful they were. There are a ton of farming/squad building guides on here and other sites that you could get good strategies from. Again, keep building, good luck and game on!

I have been following the "4 Pillars" guide from Warrior I think he is. His guide is extremely helpful, and I have been able to do well because of it.
Lets see, I believe I have been playing for about 2 years. I started to play before AT (Fulcrum) was introduced. I can't remember when that was, I think it was between Ep7 and Rogue 1 is when I first started. I remember being able to get Rey (scavenger) and Finn when their marquee events hit. I also remember when Kylo Ren (masked), FO TP and Tie were introduced and was able to get those characters from their marquee event. I was able to get through the early tiers of the Phasma event too, but was not able to get her. Is there a way to find out when I started playing?
At any rate. You are correct about how things get easier as my characters get stronger each gear level and mod level.
