I dont know, I am kinda up in the air. I personally havent incorporated speed mods. I understand their potency, however there are plenty of ways of handling speed factors. If I may present some things here. My GS gains 50% tm for every critical hit and his crit chance from mods and crit damage are high, so hes moving faster than most the toons I face in arena. I also use STH, who boosts all my toons tm through the roof. I keep RG around with potency so he is stunning and speed downing people left and right. I follow that with my QGJ and Rey who inflict a lot of damage. I have Phasma and have considered the lead but the defense boost on STH with his defense mods and gear 9 not even 10 yet make a huge difference. I run into some fast teams but right now i am at arena rank 3 and nit having any issues keeping it. Speed is a huge factor but i dont really see there being many changes to it. If they nerf it other things will become noticeably out of whack. Some people say there isnt a strategy to this game but I disagree. The very toons you build and in what order determines a lot, who you use vs who in arena means a lot, how you attack or if you expect to be an auto beast is a factor. I guess an easy fix is just keeping going. Look for the mods that can possibly be your speed equalizer. The thing is if people have focused all speed then they havent built in other ways that are just as much a factor. Hope it helps.

I have a potency mod, where my potency secondary bonus of 5.55% is almost higher than the primary bonus..Thatsnthe problem, a secondary shouldnt be equal or close to equal of the primary stat

I've been saying for 5 days that issue isn't with speed and that it could be about secondaries being too high as a whole... Duuuhh
You are dense, because the entire point of rip's thread is about that.
When.you can get +20-+25speed in a mod as a secondary stat, which is more powerful than a set bonus or equal or close to equal as a primary stat it's a problem.
My guild mate is running a 280 speed Poe, along with a 250+ wedge, Biggs, Lando and RG.. All with 216% damage and 55% crit chance..That drops 70k damage before you can blink an eye.
Sure take your shoot first Han Solo, what do you do after that?
Speed as a secondary stat needs to be reworked.
Especially when a single secondary stat is more powerful or equal than a four piece bonus stat.
It doesn't matter how much crit chance/tenacity/ or whatever stat you got. Speed trumps all.

The issue of your whale team is clearly overpowering damage... Not speed... Or better said it's the combination of both...
Over wise a Rex lead could solve your problems in 2 seconds since he has tm on crit ... And this is just one of the many many solutions ...
So the issue isn't that your whale is fast, it's that he is fast, has crit chance, crit damage etc... That allows him to be fast AND hit hard...
So again it's not speed the issue its the combination of very high secondaries IN ALL CATEGORIES that give it all to your whale
No speed secondary stats are the problem. Having 250+'speed when it all comes from secondary stats? Crit damage, great a set bonus, and a primary. but + 120 or so speed just from secondary stats? Crit chance 55% not a huge bump from the base stats but over 100% speed increase just from secondary stats.. That's the problem. When the set bonus adds what.. 10- 20 speed? When I have secondary speed stats that add more than a set bonus?

I mean sure u want to highlight the powers of speed but using extreme numbers isn't realistic
Now let's assume this whale problem of yours is real , what I would do is I won't aim for the spot he is on
I have a free to play alt , I know my place and this game has been so good to ftp for so long that everyone assumes they should get rank one rewards at payout every time

There's a big difference between 269 and 280. 280 is probably possible, but highly unlikely. I also doubt the rest of his team is as fast and powerful as you describe.
