These challenges mainly give grey mods that are unneeded or 3 & 4 dot mods. With all of these toons & the need for strong, fast mods. It is challenging to farm them. The ones in the store are often a bust also.

Grey mods are good. They have a better chance at becoming great more so then others. But it’s a garbage move to have put 3-4 dot mods in 3* challenge. Everything in that should be 5dot. Just a cheap way to slow us down and waste our resources.

I agree with dropping the 3 star mods from the highest challenge tiers, same with the 4 star mods. However, the quality should remain Grey through Gold as before.

It’s not that the mods themselves are better it’s that you will get more of ones that might possibly be good. It’s a balance between what might end up being a top mod/getting the mats you need to upgrade it to 5a and just running more mod challenges to get more mods.

Yes that is probably the best tactic right now, but if there were no grey mods you'd just skip the first slicing step and don't waist ressources on slicing that doesn't result in a speed increase. For every lower tier that gets removed another step and by that work and resources are saved.
As far as I know the probabilities are the same for a gold and a grey mod to have high speed, only that you know it about the gold mod right away.

It's fun that you guys think the devs will actually do something. Every time Doja mentions his list I imagine him and Crumb presenting it in a weekly meeting and the producers just chuckling about all the things they'll never green light.

This seems like such a no-brainer from CG's perspective. Removing the 3/4 dot mods means players accrue less credits from selling useless mods and players now have more mods to level which requires more credits.

Create an even bigger credit crunch for all but endgame players and then sell a mod/credit pack to fix it.

"I'd maybe change the way Mod Battles/Challenges are set up. 8 tiers of 1 or 2 dot Mod Battles that no one touches after a certain point is just silly. Adjust Mod Challenges so that Tier 1 offers 1/2 dots for beginners, Tier 2 offers 3/4 dots for early/mid level and then Tier 3 offers 5 and MAYBE 6 dot mods. Then figure out how to take the wasted mod battle tiers and implement them better so we can farm more relic material. Maybe move the Signal Data there too so we can actually farm characters in Cantina if still needed. Something along that line."

On the one hand, they've been saying for years they want to remove them. They haven't done it so I doubt they will.

On the other hand, Carrie talked about moving arena crystals to GA years ago and they didn't do it until they did.

If they do it, just don't expect it to be anything simple or in any manner that we enjoy.

The problem is they usually go to 9 speed. Low offense. Resources are going out in all different directions. The mod quality should not be so difficult
