I’d honestly like to hear from GWR listeners or fans or anyone for that matter to tell us what new or interesting info was given by crumb in that podcast.
- The tool is intended to help create lot of events per month (as many as 30 per month). So no more days with only training droid sim
- They worked on a larger unity infrastructure upgrade, allowing them to streamline the development process, rather than trying to merge content produced from multiple programs (which probably hints that the game is unlikely to shut down any time soon)
- The unity engine upgrade is also supposed to help with better graphics
- There's no lock on used characters or limit on attempts. You can have multiple comps with toon overlap, play once, play a thousand times, it gives you a lot of freedom on how you engage with the mode. It also gives tremendous theorycrafting flexibility because you are not burning limited number of attempts or concerned with using up a toon like in a raid. And unlike AB where you are limited by factions, it totally opens up your entire roster for theorycrafting. And because it's solo content, you're not trying to squeeze in something within a narrow window with your guild. I think that's pretty exciting.
And these are just from the transcribed portion (as to avoid me misremembering something).
I got all of this from the RA itself and previous communication.
Nothing new here at all.
What part of RA / Previous conversations went into Unity and tools that let them craft as many as 30 events per month?
I assumed that’s precisely what they were working on the last 6 months based on the last 2 Q&As and other comms.
Was that news to you?
Assuming and reading the tea leaves is different from devs sharing details, even if it merely confirms previous speculation.

It was all last minute and unplanned
Hearing that Crumb's appearance was a last minute thing makes me appreciate it that much more. I hope he really considers doing more of these and with various outlets in the future.
