Honestly I feel like it's gotten much better since they tweaked things with bonus turns and a couple other aspects. I don't score higher than I used to, but I get my max score in one take instead of anywhere between 1 & 5 depending on the RNG. Days when I just couldn't get things to come together for QA and spent an hour just on that one run, then turned around and had the same RNG with Lumi -- those were crushingly depressing, for sure. But that doesn't happen anymore. Honestly I thought it was going to fail my first Lumi attempt a couple days ago, and it would have been the first time since the tweaks that I didn't max out first try, but then I finished wave 7 with 99% Enrage, so I squeaked through to Wv8 and finished up just fine.
If things are still giving you headaches, though, all I can say is that this is a game, and if it's not fun, you can just auto a run or two and leave the raid alone. If your guild is struggling to get the target reward crate, talk to your guild leader and explain it's driving you crazy. Even if a score of 100k isn't enough, I'm sure you can work out something where your GL can help set something reasonable for you that you can get without whatever teams are driving you nuts.
A good, motivated player is worth so much more than just a couple million raid points per week for the next couple months. The right leader will value you and help you get to a place where you can play the game and stay sane while waiting for the next raid.

I agree with the points about the changes. Ever since they got implemented, I've been able to consistently get the max score with Lumi and Gungans on the very first attempt. I'm actually able to get the max score with my KB team with only 1-2 restarts, whereas pre-tweaks I was always one wave away from doing so. Queen Amidala, I'm able to get the max score for the R3 tier, but not going to judge the difficulty, I only recently finished getting the trio to relic levels. The only downside is that the Maul battle is harder during the initial waves. However, I still manage to get roughly the same score with that team, and I'm not about to start swapping mods around until I eventually find the absolute right layout so I can try to get 3-400k more points.
That said, I also agree with you and the others on how even with the changes, the raid is still a headache, along with a few other areas of the game. I mean, for the raid alone I could list a few things that could still use some improvement - better player bonuses (hero/faction/space), not resetting our TM each wave, DDKs assisting constantly even though they're only supposed to have a 35% or so chance, etc. It's especially exhausting when you have multiple events running at the same time. Last week, during the days when our guild had TB, Conquest and the Raid, I was so burned out and unmotivated I almost forgot to deploy in TB (thankfully the officers always send a reminder during the final hours of each phase). I got the last feat in Conquest done today, but I'm not exactly on cloud nine, I'm just not as thrilled about the unit as I was about Bane, Ezra or even Dark Rey. Now imagine you'd like to watch a movie, for agument's sake one you've never seen before but the genre is one you particularly enjoy. You try to watch the movie, but you have all these things to do in-game so you end up constantly turning your attention to your phone because you don't want to fall behind too much or leave everything until the last minute. Our guild is in the middle of the spectrum, we try to do our best in TW/TB/Raids, but we try to be casual since there you never know when real life will require your full attention, but even then it becomes too much at times. I even told the guild the other day, they're the only reason I'm still playing this game. Even the fact that it's Star Wars has lost most of its charm.
As for the last part, about the next raid. I'm honestly surprised we haven't gotten some kind of announcement on that, if not an ETA, at least what it's going to be based on. And I'm really, really, REALLY hoping it doesn't turn out to be as much of an RNG-fest with ridiculously overpowered enemies as the Naboo raid.
