First: I don't get it why you guys just don't give every toon it's own mods. If you always want to use your best mods on every team in every mode that's your problem and you have to pay for it.
Second: How on earth it comes that you don't have some million of credits in reserve? Especially if you know that you may need it for your playstile? That's just bad planning of yours.
Third: You have an average arena rank of 9 while often you get first place. So just take some of that god darn crystals from your stockpile and buy some credits in the store if you really aren't able to manage such an easy thing for fricks sake.
