You can hoard them if you're willing to not put them on an unlocked GL.
Interesting. I presumed that each set of GLs would need their own set of "ultimate tickets" to unlock their ultimate. I'm sure CG clearly communicated that somewhere and I just missed it...- Jefferx_CAN5 years agoSeasoned VeteranBasically, some people hoard rey ultimate mat to ultimate kylo. Kylo ultimate tier 6 event was harder than Rey event. So they just did 20 times tier 6 rey event. Someone hoarding 10 ultimate mat can unlock and ultimate a new GL but when the first come out it was not possible to do this. Since they have similar power to other GL, it is not a big problem but i would prefer to not switch mat between GL.

The part that you could do 20x rey tier 6 to get 20 mats is false. You could ofc do the tier 20x but it will only give a maximum of 10 mats. Even if you then use those mats on SLKR you cant get anymore ultimate mats from rey her t6. You need to do SLKR t6 to get more ultimate mats.- The big assumption here is that the new GLs will use ability mats. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them create a new system. Just because that what they like to do.
- SnakesssOnAPlane5 years agoSeasoned AceIt’ll be fun watching 0.1% of the player base that gets the new GLs to immediately put the Ultimate ability on them. Everyone will catchup in 1-2 weeks anyway.

Old cycle has passed, here comes a new pair of them. So people should EARN NEW mats, that simple.
But why? You make it seem like there is some sort of reason.
Getting the Ultimate ready for a GL can be a long grind for those that aren't top placed in arenas or spend money to the game. Needing two weeks is a rough estimate if you're able to spend all free energy plus 4 refreshes a day, at least that's my experience.
In two weeks arena can change dramatically and those who saved up mats will dominate no matter what. Probably this will be people with both GLs that only put the Ultimate on one of it so it's either very good resource managers or spenders.
In other words: Everyone who can't afford saving the mats will lose one way or the other. To give everyone a real and fair chance the OP don't want this to happen so s/he asks for a change to the system. Simple as that.- Jefferx_CAN5 years agoSeasoned Veteran

I did not explain correctly, you get 10 mat of rey, then you put ultimate to kylo. You get 10 mat with the same event of rey and you keep it to put ultimate to a new GL, palp of jml. - SnakesssOnAPlane5 years agoSeasoned AceIt’s a non-issue.

The Rey event will only award 10 total though. If you use them on Kylo then you have a Kylo with an ultimate to make getting 10 from his side a little easier for Rey or Luke or whomever you want to use them on.
It has always been true that if you were earning ultimate mate on more than one character at a time you could use them on anyone. Folks who had both Rey and Kylo simultaneously were giving me me an ultimate as soon as they had 10 total (for the most part). This is controlled by the max 10 you can earn from each character event.
It’s a classic resource decision - which is what this game is all about. I don’t see why it should change with the new GLs. Remember these mechanics are in place for any player unlocking GLs at anytime- they don’t need special rules for the end game players who are ready next week. Someone could unlock all four at one ice and get the ultimate ability on one GL four times as fast! Sounds awesome but isn’t actually very efficient. "Dmitry_M81;d-236164" wrote:
It shouldn't be allowed to use Ultimate ability mats saved from Rey / SLKR to upgrade NEW GLs, I believe everyone understands why.
Ehhh. If you are willing to have your kylo or rey walked on to save those for SEE or JML, i see no problem with it.
For those just gunning for a gl.... get reys ultimate mats and put them on kylo. Then use kylo with ultimate to beat his ultimate tier. The you can put those on rey.
Alternatively, save them and see if SEE or JML are super hard without the ultimate... then put there
