CG tryin' real hard to make people care about pirates. But hey, if you have GL Tertiary-Character unlocked, you can get DOUBLE and TRIPLE REWARDS for toons you already have maxed. 🤪
The double / triple drops aren’t just about character shards.
I’m not defending their decision here, I think it’s poorly judged, but it’s flat out wrong to claim the double / triple drops will only give people shards for characters they already have.
There might be some who get benefit, but I'd say the majority of whales who have all their pirates at 7-star so they can unlock Hondo immediately, don't need double or triple drops for more resources because they have plenty. This is primarily a motivator for lower GP players to push them into buying mid-pirates to unlock a GL. Granted, CG prioritizes new players and they might need the resources, but are they going to push to unlock hondo, or the other 9 GL's first? Most of which are easier to unlock than Hondo will be without spending lots of cash.
