I'm sure few people have them already at R3, but it's not a wild requirement considering most people already have those at 7*. For competitive players (and yes this include f2p), it isn't crazy to think they can gear them up to R3 in time for the event.

R3 is minimum, it’ll be difficult to do it R3 I’m guessing. You’ll need r5+ to eat through all of it.
I would have to say it is a bit crazy to think f2p players will meet the requirements in ~1 week, unless you already had them g12 or higher. If the event rolled out next month, then yes, it’d be fine, but the fact it was sprung upon us with 2 days notice (for me) is sudden.
The only problem I have with the reqs are the characters. Gear I’m fine with, it’s the characters. I posted on another thread the amount of g11s and higher of each ROLO, CHS and Lando, I’d say around 5% of the player base has them all relic’d or at g12.
And the trash characters for JKL have next to no use in this game, the trash characters for GLs have some uses in a zFinn team.
At R3 the usefulness of ROLO(L) CHS(I used to call it CHOLO but ok) and lando will be the same as the garbage resistance in a zfinn team. The toons aren’t a problem, the gear isn’t a problem. The real problem is timing. But this forum complains about everything.
A zFinn team can take out Geos with some trash resistance. Don’t believe me?

“Everything” is a stretch. Some things, yes. “Everything”, heck no. It’s a game in the end. People will always complain.
even with 100% potency above geos there is always the risk of sitting on 2 exposes after poe went
which pretty much is an auto loss
that squad is everything but reliable
this video is from me and I used it a lot against geos.
to be fair, bad rng like poe landing only 1 expose at the start or the enemy dodging 3 times in a row (happened last tw) can ruin the battle.
things need to line up a bit.
rose instead of holdo is not bad, you can stun lock every geo apart from spy.
I use it in gac if I have no other team for geos or if I need close to full banners to win the round.
they can beat other teams fairly easy like bounty hunter, zcarth teams and such (if the speeds matches) for full or close to full banners.
