Overhaul

I know a few (if not all) the topics I touch on here have already been addressed, but in light of recent changes, I would like to offer an assortment of ideas. I understand that this thread may not gain steam, and will most likely be wholly ignored, but I wish to articulate my thoughts for in-game adjustments. Forgive me if these items have been promoted multiple times.
1. We desperately need a change to the battle timers. With the additions and changes to characters/team synergy, battles are becoming deadlocked. If we change teams in Arena/Fleet Arena to beat one team, our new team gets destroyed because we had to force a change to compete. I have lost placements for rewards multiple times due to this. The deadlocks are a major headache due to the timer. We have so many other places with 15 minute timers against AI teams that we wipe out in a tenth of that limit, but we are only allowed 5 minutes to pit GLs against one another and are somehow expected to win, even though both teams are full health/protection at the draw mark.
2. XP for lvl 85 accounts. We are getting nothing from having XP remaining in the game, and many rewards give us this, even though it is unusable. Perhaps a system could be put in place that we have an XP gauge at lvl 85 that once complete, will offer some reward(s) and then reset to do over again. Working towards even a small goal would allow some sense of accomplishment, rather than seeing XP as a dead and unnecessary reward.
3. Store offerings. This has become a headache for everyone. How can anyone justify paying $39.99 (US) for a pack that you have a "chance" to earn materials? With the current payout/odds, the average player will spend hard earned money to only see the lowest possible outcome of the purchased pack. I understand the game is free to play, but the monetary value placed on items/characters is outrageous. I know that we aren't supposed to activate or level up characters every hour, but casual players are hamstrung because their characters will not see a single material needed for an upgrade unless they either play for weeks/months on end, or pay $39.99 (US) and HOPE they receive enough materials for a SINGLE character upgrade. At this point, it is just greed that fuels the store.
4. Balance. Older characters have become useless and eyesores compared to the shiny new sets. The upgrades to the few characters such as Mace Windu have brought a small joy to those of us that once trashed them from our squads. GLs are supposed to strong; we understand that. But I ask this- how can someone so feared in the Star Wars universe be defeated in seconds by an arbitrary character that has no real abilities? Relics are amazing to advance a character, but when a relic 5 Sith Lord is reduced to a kitten when matched against a relic 5 support droid, it makes absolutely no sense.
5. The changes to scavenger parts needs to be scaled back by at least 10%. Newer players are giving up due to the inability to properly relic teams, as the only option for gear is in the store. This is because the majority of guilds boot players that are not level 85 and/or don't meet GP requirements, and for the guilds that allow these players, there is usually ZERO participation among members and guild events either do not start, or they finish with little to no rewards.
I understand adjustments take time and strategy. I also understand the workings behind economics and the balances for risk vs rewards, but I ask that you stop placing everything behind paywalls or months/years of grinding for a single upgrade. Thank you for your time, and I now yield the floor.

    2. Would just be the same as getting more rewards for the daylies
    4. If the new characters wouldn't be stronger or be the cornerstone of a new cool team, then they wouldn't sell. And lore has never and will never play a roll in balance. Killing Sith Lords with a bunch of characters that wouldn't have any chance in canon is part of what this game is about.
