Phoenix squad

I was going to reply to your original post, seeing as Phoenix has been my main team since I started and just upgraded with an awesome lvl 9 datacron that's completely busted, but still know what teams never to try my luck against (Padme being the single most powerful phoenix stopper and available extremely early game) as well as its extensive limitations. But now you've posted this, I think you just misunderstand how the game works entirely.

Stop looking at GP. It's a number that just represents the completion level of your team's progress. It has very little to do with how you'll perform against another team. It's practically (not entirely, but almost) irrelevant when deciding who wins a match. The entire game is based on team mechanics. If a team hard counters the one you're using, you need to use a team that hard counters THEIR mechanics.  You're just making yourself look silly by complaining about your ignorance of how the game works. Listen to other people here and follow their recommendations. Aside from GL's, any given team can only take on a certain fraction of other teams in the game successfully due to mechanics, so you are bound to run into more teams that your one team can't handle properly than ones you can easily beat. It gets worse as you get later into the game and more team mechanics are unlocked via zetas and omicrons etc. Develop your roster so you have teams to handle every situation rather than being a complete derp and trying to beat teams that completely counter you and then complaining about your lack of skill on a forum.

TLDR; learn about how the game works rather than complaining that you missed the point of the game entirely.
