Please eliminate platform-specific events

What's funny is that people act like it's all this huge money grab, yet they designed the game so F2P players can be at least somewhat competitive. I haven't spent a dime, spent the first month or two farming sub-optimally and I just broke rank 50 in my mid-December leader board. It's not because I'm some super genius, it's because the way the game is made that is relatively easy to do. If it were all a big money grab, how come they make it viable to be a F2P player? People praise the developers because they've done a good job of making a very fun game.

Er, wait, I forgot, I remember why I can do alright. It's probably because I got Phasma instead of Poe back in December. Now that I have literally three chances for ability mats, training droids and shards I'll be able to smoke all the iOS whales no problem.
