- I just don’t agree with the ‘players should know by now’ sentiment. They give us rules text, we buy the product based on that, then they change it. Either they do it intentionally, to bait and switch to cause people to spend on otherwise uses upgrades, or they are incompetent in their testing and it’s their fault for not testing the product. Any other company that releases faulty products has to reimburse those damaged by said products. CG shouldn’t get a pass regardless of intent or incompetence.

Somewhat fair, but at the same time, Did you invest in it with beating GL's in mind?.... Becasue that is literally the only change....
Yes a ton of guilds recommended this Omi since Poggle was rolling Rey easy
And none of these guilds knew that every single GL beating Omi got nerfed historically?....
Like Wampa soloing certain SEE comps?
Like Dash beating JML?
Like Phasma beating several GLs?
(just to name a few)
Ok
Shush. Don't mention Dash. He is fine. It is definitely not consistent and I don't want anyone to look at it.
Move Along, nothing to nerf here. "BubbaFett;c-2416214" wrote:

High end Geos have long be a decent clean up team against weaken Rey, so with an omi on, it is not inconceivable that it can beat some Rey combo. I am pretty sure there is also some Rey combo that is not easily beatable even without the nerf. So the argument it wasn’t intended without clearly stated so is not a good argument.
In term of the investigation on this omi after it is released, I don’t think CG stated clearly that beating GL is unintended. The omi had clearly unintended behavior as it is active in squad arena too, not just in TW. So CG’s message was thought to address that bug. Again, it is just CG incompetence without sufficiently testing.
Again, I highly doubt that CG would want to have an old team everyone has counter a GL with just the addition of an omicron and, given the amount of time and resources it takes to farm a GL, nor should they....
They should definitely test their stuff better before release, I can agree with that and could even agree on possibly refunding the mats as they did for Traya... But I also think players who thought they would let GEOS stand as a GL counter were naiive at best...
Once again you've stumbled on the wrong way of looking at things. So the players are naive - (apparently). It's CG that develop Omicrons - presumably test them and release them into the game.
But it's 'naive' on behalf of the players to think CG had actually considered certain interactions during development. Therefore players should just always expect CG screwed up - and therefore expect a nerf.
Yep, that's a player issue right there. No onus on the developers.
.....- scuba75Seasoned RookieWell if some of the "players" didn't run their mouth when they shouldn't have, there would probably still be a beta program to play test comps and find some of this out early.
Instead we are left with what we got.
There are comments all the time that CG doesn't know how to play the game and than expectations that properly balance test units/teams.
They need a beta program to test for things like this yet seems ever time someone has to go leak stuff and get it all shutdown. - scuba75Seasoned RookieWhat they need to do is just admit that every new change (omi, new unit, unit adjustment etc) is going to be beta tested by the players for 2-4 weeks and at the end of that if a change is made to any of it than the player unit will be reverted back to where it was at the start.
Without a real beta program, again because players keep breaking the NDA, use the player base like they are just be open and upfront about it and let there be no penalty for doing it to the players. - KDC99-XRising RookieThat's what I've been saying. Just openly use the community for play testing and do right by the community in the process. Maybe even give a small bonus (gear, energy, crystals, whatever), at the conclusion of the testing window as a thank you gesture. It's quite literally the easiest and simplest solution, that invokes NO extra work on CG's behalf, other than being decent human beings.

So what happened?
Btw — I don’t mean setting up test accounts with certain content creators, but rather just putting out the content as they are now, with the understanding that was described regarding testing/material refunds upon adjustment."BubbaFett;c-2416476" wrote:

They tried this... A bunch of the YouTubers you watch today used to have "Test Accounts" where they could literally apply any level of gear and relics they wanted as well as all zetas etc (don't remember if Omicrons were out then).... - ccmooseRising Novice

Negative Ghost rider...
I am saying officially use the entire player base as the beta test program as they are now, not a few select "useless" players.
If they did this and said after x weeks, "if we tweak the unit or ability players would get the unit reverted back", players for the most part would have no real issues with testing this way knowing they get all the stuff back if a change is made.
Right now the first part is happening (using entire player base as beta testers), the last part (reverting/refunding) is a hit and miss/maybe happen.
